Baltimore Ravens RB Justice Hill was a highly sought-after name on the waiver wire just a week or so ago, and he was able to help keep fantasy football lineups afloat this past week if he was added and started.
However, the veteran running back is now missing practice. What’s the latest news surrounding Hill, and should fantasy managers expect to have him available in Week 3?

Latest News Surrounding Justice Hill
Fantasy managers certainly didn’t expect to see Hill’s name pop up on the injury report, as nothing had been reported coming out of Sunday’s matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals surrounding the veteran running back.
However, news trickled out of Ravens camp on Wednesday that Hill missed practice, and as of now, very little else has been reported about his status.

Additionally, Baltimore did go out and bring back Kenyan Drake to the team on Wednesday morning, which is a potential indicator that Hill’s dealing with a serious injury that will sideline him for some time.
Hill’s dealt with plenty of injuries over the course of his young NFL career, so it’s certainly a possibility that he got banged up during Sunday’s contest, and the Ravens are simply preparing for his absence with the Drake signing.
Update: Hill was still not at practice on Friday as he’s dealing with a toe injury.
Will Hill Play This Week?
As of right now, it’s impossible to say whether or not Hill will be out there for Baltimore’s matchup against the Indianapolis Colts. The practice reports for Thursday and Friday will be crucial to discern whether or not he’ll have a chance to play and make an impact for fantasy football.

What Does This Mean for Hill’s Fantasy Ranking?
Hill wasn’t a lock for fantasy lineups at this point due to sharing the workload with Gus Edwards in this backfield. At this point, even if Hill does make it back in time for Sunday’s matchup against the Colts, he should be viewed as a low-end Flex option at best.
If Hill’s not able to suit up, Edwards would see a bump up the rankings. But with Melvin Gordon and Drake also hanging around, he’s also a risky play. This backfield seemingly wants to be a committee approach with J.K. Dobbins out for the year, and that means that it’s unlikely any of these RBs will ever be top 24 plays.
