The fantasy football playoffs are upon us, and now is the time to go do whatever is necessary for you to go win that championship. Last week, the New England Patriots knocked off the Pittsburgh Steelers.
One of the key performances in that game was from wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster, who finished with four catches for 90 yards. Could he be someone fantasy managers should look at signing off the waiver wire, especially with a rematch against a former team on the horizon?
Should JuJu Smith-Schuster Be a Fantasy Waiver Wire Add in Week 15?
Smith-Schuster played a big role in the Kansas City Chiefs winning the Super Bowl last year, as he finished with 78 catches for 933 yards and three touchdowns.
While he hasn’t had a huge year in New England thus far, he is coming off his best game of the season. Surely, there is nothing more he would like to do than play spoiler against a Chiefs team that has lost three of its last four games, right?
While it is tempting to use revenge as the reason to look at signing Smith-Schuster, don’t make that mistake.
First off, even though he had a big game against Pittsburgh, he still wasn’t able to score a touchdown. He has only one touchdown on the season, and he has only four in his last 32 regular season games.
The 21 points and win against the Steelers was an impressive thing, but it was an outlier for what the Patriots have done all season, especially in the last three games. In its previous three games against the Indianapolis Colts, New York Giants, and Los Angeles Chargers, New England scored a total of 13 points.
The Patriots have scored more than 21 points only one other time this season. That was in a surprising 29-25 upset over the Buffalo Bills early in the season.

While the Chiefs aren’t playing the football we are accustomed to seeing from the defending Super Bowl champions, their defense is still one of the very best in the NFL.
This feels like one of those games where the Chiefs exorcise some demons and try to destroy the Patriots.
If you are having to look at the waiver wire this late in the season as we enter the playoffs, I can’t imagine you are even in the playoffs. If you are in the playoffs, then stick with the receivers that you have on your roster. There is a reason why you are still playing and in the playoffs.
If there is an injury, I can understand. However, right now, I just don’t see any receiver out there on the waiver wire that any fantasy playoff team should look at and think could be a huge game-changer.
