‘I’m Just Spectating the Future Giants Quarterback’ – Colorado’s Future Star JuJu Lewis in Awe of NFL Bound Shedeur Sanders’ Supremacy

    Published on

Shedeur Sanders' potential NFL Draft landing spot gets spilled by Colorado's new signee Julian 'JuJu' Lewis.

Top 2025 NFL Draft prospect Shedeur Sanders’ legacy at Colorado will be carried forward by five-star QB signee Julian “JuJu” Lewis next season. To understand the system and the culture of the program, the 17-year-old accompanied the team all the way to San Antonio for the historic Alamo Bowl. The game has a lot of significance as it will be the last time Shedeur Sanders, Travis Hunter, and other draft prospects will suit up in a Colorado jersey.

Julian ‘JuJu’ Lewis Makes NFL Draft Prediction for Shedeur Sanders

The Colorado Buffaloes arrived in San Antonio on Monday, and ever since they have been the talk of the town. After celebrating Christmas together, the Buffs are back into business.

Colorado’s five-star commit JuJu Lewis couldn’t be more happy to witness Coach Prime and players train for one last time together. While speaking to the reporters inside the locker room, JuJu joked about Shedeur being the future New York Giants quarterback and his awe of Travis Hunter’s abilities.

“I’m just spectating the future New York Giants quarterback. I’m so inspired, Oh, I get to watch him and Travis Hunter every day,” Lewis said with a big smile on his face.

The Colorado QB has been phenomenal overall, leading the program to one of its most successful seasons to date. Last year, the team wrapped up the regular season 4-8 but turned things around in 2024 with a 9-3 record and bowl game eligibility. Since transferring to Colorado, Shedeur has recorded 7,156 yards with 62 touchdowns and holds a completion rate of 71.8% while only conceding 11 interceptions.

Deion Sanders Discusses Shedeur and Hunter

Both Colorado stars are expected to go off the board in the early first round, potentially in the top 5. It is also rumored that both the talents might go as early as No. 1 and No. 2 overall, and Colorado head coach Deion Sanders believes in his guys.

“He [Shedeur Sanders] is gonna eclipse that because I was the fifth pick. He is certainly going to be one or two or whatever he is going to be. So that is what he wants….I just want them happy, in the right situation to soar,” Sanders said last week via SI.

In Pro Football Network’s most recent 2025 NFL Mock Draft, Shedeur went first overall to the New York Giants.

“By selecting Shedeur Sanders, the Giants land their quarterback of the future to pair with Malik Nabers and Tyrone Tracy Jr. Arm strength and accuracy are two of the most distinct selling points on Sanders’ tape. He generates easy velocity and has a degree of off-platform freedom. And while his mechanics aren’t perfect, he can find uncanny ways to hit targets with good placement and touch.”

The Buffs will face the BYU Cougars in the Alamo Bowl on Dec 28, 2024.
