Green Bay Packers running back Josh Jacobs left in the second half of the team’s Week 12 game versus the San Francisco 49ers. Below are the latest updates on the Packers’ starting running back.
What Happened to Josh Jacobs?
Jacobs scored a one-yard touchdown in the third quarter but subsequently had to leave the game, exiting through the tunnel. The team listed him as questionable to return with cramping.
Fortunately, Jacobs returned to the game in the fourth quarter, signifying that this was a temporary issue and nothing major.
The Packers’ RB1 had a terrific afternoon, finishing with 26 carries for 106 yards and three touchdowns.
After the game, Packers head coach Matt LaFleur raved about Jacobs’ performance.
“Number 8 (Josh Jacobs) out there, did you see how many people he made miss? It was pretty impressive,” LaFleur said. “I think early on, that got us going. We thought we could hit him with some downhill stuff. Obviously, they’re missing a key part of that defense — two starters actually — so we did what we had to do.”
The Packers have the Miami Dolphins and Detroit Lions up next, a stretch of games that will force them to be aggressive on the offensive end.
Jacobs will look to continue his excellent play on Thanksgiving Day.
