Touchdown for love! On Hailee Steinfeld’s 28th birthday, her quarterback beau, Josh Allen, threw a love pass that landed right in her heart. The NFL star took to social media to shower his fiancée with affection, sharing a heartwarming message that had us all swooning (literally!).
Be it gridiron glory or fairy-tale romance, this power couple proves that love indeed knows no bounds.
Beyond the Gridiron: Josh Allen Celebrates Hailee Steinfeld’s Birthday
The Buffalo Bills’ superstar QB has been throwing bombs all over the field this season, but he threw a different kind of Hail Mary this week: a love pass to his fiancée, Steinfeld, on her 28th birthday.
Allen took to his IG stories to share a gorgeous pic of her fiancée in a satin beige shirt (smiling like there’s no tomorrow), sipping some wine, and doing life. He captioned it with a simple yet powerful, “I love you ♥️ Here’s to forever 🥂.”
Now, you’d think a guy who just led his team to a thrilling, if ultimately heartbreaking, 44-42 shootout against the Los Angeles Rams (yes, you read that right — six touchdowns scored, zero turnovers, and still a loss) would be nursing his wounds. But Allen, ever the romantic, proved that even the toughest QBs have a soft spot.
“Got to make one more play than they do, however it may be,” Allen said after the game, shouldering the blame despite a historic performance that included three passing and three rushing TDs. “So, again, it was a total team loss, three phases. We feel like we didn’t play up to our standard. That starts with me.”
But while the loss undoubtedly stung, Buffalo’s QB clearly found time to celebrate the special occasion. He and Steinfeld, who began dating in May 2023, have kept their romance pretty low-key but have become more open about their relationship after Allen proposed.
So, while Allen may be aiming for a Super Bowl ring this season, it’s clear that finding “forever” with Steinfeld’s a victory that means just as much.
Allen’s Heroics Not Enough, Bills Fall Short
Allen became the first ever QB in history to throw for three TDs and rush for three TDs in a single regular-season game vs. the Rams. But even with him playing like he was some possessed creature, the team lost.
The Bills were outgunned from the get-go. The Rams dominated the first half — fueled by a blocked punt returned for a TD.
Allen, undeterred, fired back with a 41-yard bomb to Ty Johnson. But it was the Rams’ high-powered offense that flipped the script. Led by Puka Nacua’s 162-yard receiving onslaught, the team kept finding the end zone. The Bills’ offense, though, played catch-up all night.
After the game, HC Sean McDermott didn’t sugarcoat stuff at all. He criticized both the offense and defense, pointing to how they failed to execute and manage the clock. It was a bitter pill to swallow, sure. Allen, despite his Herculean effort, couldn’t single-handedly deal with the team’s defensive shortcomings.
