Josh Allen’s 4-Word Message to Patrick Mahomes Revealed After Controversial AFC Championship Game

The sportsmanship demonstrated by Bills quarterback Josh Allen to Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes after the AFC Championship Game was legitimate.

The NFL world was abuzz following the AFC Championship Game between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Buffalo Bills. The game itself was full of drama, controversy, and high-tension moments, but one postgame exchange was sure to capture everyone’s attention.

After the game, Bills quarterback Josh Allen posted a short, yet powerful four-word message to Chiefs star QB Patrick Mahomes.

What Did Josh Allen Say to Patrick Mahomes?

Following Kansas City’s win over Buffalo, when the two star quarterbacks were interacting on the field, Allen seemingly made an innocuous yet significant request for Mahomes.

    “Go get another one.”

Even amidst the heartbreaking loss, Allen was classy and even respected Mahomes while displaying his competitor’s side.

Allen and Mahomes have established perhaps the most exciting quarterback rivalry in the NFL. The Bills’ QB was drafted in 2018, and since then, the two have met several times in make-or-break scenarios, including on four occasions in the postseason.

Although the Bills haven’t yet managed to overcome the Chiefs in the playoffs, the two teams always seem to give fans their money’s worth. Both quarterbacks have shown their brilliance in their play, aggressive leadership, and determination.

    Controversy Surrounding AFC Championship Game

Despite Kansas City’s win, the AFC Championship Game wasn’t free from controversies. Several viewers questioned the officiating and calls (or lack thereof) that favored the Chiefs.

Allen, however, dismissed the negativity and encouraged Mahomes and Co. to finish their quest of being the first NFL team in history to win three straight Super Bowls.

Mahomes, no stranger to playoff success, appreciated Allen’s message. The Chiefs’ quarterback acknowledged the rivalry and praised Allen’s competitiveness.

“Josh is a great player. He’s always going to battle to the very end,” Mahomes said in a postgame interview.

Through the years, Mahomes and Allen have earned a mutual respect that transcends the playing field. As bitter competitors, it’s wonderful to see them have a relationship built on admiration rather than hostility in this moment.

Allen’s postgame message to Mahomes may have been brief, but it said everything. “Go get another one” is more than a gesture of respect; it’s an acknowledgment of greatness. Another tough playoff exit does nothing to diminish Allen as a true competitor and leader.

For years to come, the Allen-Mahomes rivalry will be a truly exciting storyline as the NFL continues to evolve.
