Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen scored a rushing touchdown Thursday night. He celebrated in the blue medical tent.
Latest Josh Allen Injury Update
Allen had just scored his 43rd career rushing touchdown in Sunday night’s game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers — which tied him with Steve Young for second among quarterbacks — but the scoring drive came at a cost. Allen appeared to fall on his right arm while being tackled on the penultimate play of the drive, and it stung.

The nature of Allen’s injury was not immediately known, but it appears that he aggrevated an existing right shoulder injury that has bothered him the last two weeks. Amazon Prime cameras captured backup Kyle Allen warming up on the sidelines as QB1 Allen was being examined.
Josh Allen returned to the sidelines and had a few throws to get loose. Apparently, that was enough to convince him that he was OK.

On Josh Allen’s next snap, however, he threw an interception on a tipped pass.
At halftime, Bills coach Sean McDermott told the Amazon Prime broadcast team that Allen is “fine. He’s back in there. He’s ready to go.”
Fantasy Impact of Allen’s Injury
We don’t yet know why Josh Allen went into the blue medical tent, but it would be an unmitigated disaster if he had to miss any time. Kyle Allen is a competent backup, but he’s undoubtedly a lesser Allen.
If Josh can’t return, look for the Bills to go more run-heavy, leaning on James Cook and Latavius Murray. In the passing game, expect to see several quick passes to Stefon Diggs as the offense shifts into more of a manage-the-game mode.
