Buffalo Bills QB Josh Allen’s three-year run of fantasy stardom has been nothing short of special, and the argument could be made that his complementary pieces are as talented now as ever. Josh Allen’s Fantasy Outlook for the 2023 NFL Season
Could Allen have his best supporting cast yet? Assuming the Stefon Diggs drama is behind them, the 29-year-old is set to be one of the most involved receivers in the game for a fourth straight season, with another 100+ catch campaign being the expectation at this point.
Gabe Davis took strides in the right direction as a target earner, and in his fourth NFL season, expectations are high that he can take another step forward and prove to be a consistent secondary option next to Diggs in this pass-heavy scheme.
The WR3 role in Buffalo remains a bit of a moving target, but the addition of Dalton Kincaid in the draft should give this team depth that it really hasn’t had in the past.
Between him and Dawson Knox, the Bills have tight ends that not only demand defensive respect but ones that could create matchup nightmares in the middle of the field.
James Cook will assume the feature RB role in this offense with Devin Singletary now in Houston, and with over 19% of his touches coming through the air as a rookie, his versatility is yet another weapon at the disposal of do-it-all Allen.
Is Allen a Good Fantasy Pick?
Spending a late second or early third-round pick on Allen is less about whether it is a “good” pick and more about your comfort level in that strategy.
Naturally, investing a pick that high will put you at a disadvantage in other areas, but if you’re confident in your ability to mine value in the middle rounds, Allen is a great pick that carries an elite ceiling/floor combination.

You need to evaluate yourself as a drafter and be honest. There are going to be very good quarterbacks available in Rounds 5-8 that you can build a champion around.

If you’re more comfortable with the top of the board at the Flex positions, load up and pass on Allen — it’s your best way to build a winner. I happen to like the Round 5-8 range for RB/WR, so I personally am happy to take Allen at his current cost. Picking Allen is more a question of knowing yourself than knowing the player profile.
