Perhaps no quarterback did more for his dynasty value last year than Green Bay Packers QB Jordan Love. Should fantasy football managers buy Love as a QB1 for the next decade? Or is now the time to trade him?
Jordan Love’s Dynasty Outlook
It’s fair to say no quarterback did more for his dynasty value last season than Love. It would be an understatement to say 2023 was a make-or-break year for the first-year starter. Love passed just about every test with flying colors.
Is Jordan Love a top 10 QB in fantasy football drafts next season?

Stepping into big shoes vacated by Aaron Rodgers, expectations were low for Love given how poor he looked during his previous brief stints in NFL action. There was a ton of offseason noise about how much Love had improved. Of course, that easily could’ve been just that — noise. As we now know, it was for real.
Love opened the season as hot as anyone, scoring 19.6 fantasy points or more in each of his first four games. After about a month-long lull, Love really established himself as the Packers franchise quarterback over the second half of the season.
From Weeks 10-18, Love averaged 20.9 fantasy points per game. He was the overall QB5 over that span. On the season, Love averaged 19.4 points per game, finishing as the QB5.
Where Love really impressed was in his ability to always keep his eyes downfield. Love is mobile enough to scramble when needed, but he’s not exactly looking to take off. His propensity to stay focused on trying to throw the ball resulted in him finishing third in the league in deep ball attempts and second in air yards.
It also helps that the Packers did not deviate from their pass-heavy ways in the red zone. Love was second in the league with 100 red-zone pass attempts, something fantasy managers did not expect in a post-Rodgers world.
Love’s pass-catchers were far from bad, but they were all raw. He finished second with 32 passing touchdowns while throwing to the likes of rookies Jayden Reed and Dontayvion Wicks, sophomores Romeo Doubs and Christian Watson, and rookie TEs Luke Musgrave and Tucker Kraft. Love did not have a single veteran outside of Aaron Jones to assist him. It makes what he was able to accomplish all the more impressive.

Should You Trade Love in Dynasty?
Are you considering trading Love? Our free PFN Trade Analyzer allows you to find the best trades to make in seconds!
If you have Love on your dynasty team, odds are you drafted him four years ago when the Packers did, hoping he would take over for Rodgers the following year. When he didn’t, you likely had no choice but to hold … and you’ve been holding ever since.
Last year, you finally got your chance to use Love. If he’s your QB1, you have to be feeling good about where you’re at.
There’s definitely a case to be made for trading Love coming off this high. I just don’t think you should.

I completely buy what Love showed us in his first year starting. He’s going to be a starting quarterback in the NFL for the next decade-plus.
The only slight hiccup is because he sat for three years, he’s entering the final year of his contract. Nothing is guaranteed, and we’ve seen stranger things happen, but I fully expect the Packers and Love to work out an extension before the 2024 season starts.
Love is 25 years old. Although I don’t have him ranked as a dynasty QB1, he very easily could end up there by midseason. There are just a lot of talented quarterbacks at the top. If you’ve got Love, hang onto him.
