Jordan Love Dynasty Profile: Fantasy Outlook, Value, Projections, and Rankings

After three years on the bench, Jordan Love is now the Packers' starting QB. What is his value in dynasty fantasy football leagues?

As we inch toward the new season, the ever-changing NFL landscape has player fantasy values constantly on the move. Whether you’re used to the dynasty platform or are still learning the rules, let’s dive into the latest dynasty fantasy football value of Jordan Love.

Jordan Love’s Dynasty Outlook and Value

The irony of Love’s situation is not lost on me. First-round quarterbacks are either ready to play in the NFL right away, or they are not NFL-caliber starting quarterbacks. The last time a first-round quarterback sat behind a veteran for multiple years was — you guessed it — Aaron Rodgers from 2005-2007. Unfortunately, that was the plight of Love.

The Packers drafted Love in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft. He’s made just one career start, filling in for Rodgers when the future Hall of Famer missed a game due to COVID.

Love looked nothing like an NFL quarterback in 2021. But he was better during his limited action in 2022. It’s difficult to make anything of a whole 21 pass attempts, though.

    Jordan Love’s Fantasy Ranking

In 1QB dynasty leagues, Love is now someone that must be rostered. While we have no real sample size of his production, he’s now a starting quarterback in the NFL. He’s even more valuable in Superflex leagues.

In the immediate aftermath of the Rodgers trade, I would look to move Love. By no means is he someone you should be selling at all costs. This is merely fielding offers at a time when Love’s value may very well be at its peak.

Although Love was a first-round pick, the Packers have already burned three years of his rookie deal. Even if they pick up his fifth-year option, they can easily move on after this season if Love doesn’t play well. That’s a tremendous risk for a player with an unknown ceiling and droppable floor after the season.

Love is currently QB20 (No. 79 overall) in our dynasty Superflex rankings. I can’t rule out him becoming a valuable QB1. But if you can sell him for a more certain outcome, I would lean toward doing that.

Love is purely a value proposition in dynasty startup drafts. If he falls late enough, he’s worth selecting, but I would not reach for him.
