‘Christian McCaffrey Would Never’ – Jonathan Taylor Gets Flamed by Fans for Botching 41-Yard TD Run Against Broncos

    Published on

Fans condemned Jonathan Taylor for making a huge mistake against the Denver Broncos, which could end the Indianapolis Colts' season.

Jonathan Taylor and the Indianapolis Colts played against the Denver Broncos in Week 15. The Colts started the game well and jumped to a 13-7 lead before a bizarre incident took place.

Taylor, one of the best running backs in the league, broke for a 41-yard touchdown run that would have given the Colts a 20-7 lead. Unfortunately, the star player dropped the ball before entering the end zone while trying to celebrate, and it might have cost his team their season.

Fans React to Jonathan Taylor’s Mistake

The Colts did not score a single point after Taylor’s error and were shut down in the second half. They lost the game 31-13 and wasted their chance of competing to make the playoffs.

The running back’s mistake proved costly, and he will remember this moment for the wrong reasons. Fans on social media condemned Taylor for dropping the ball and pointed out how the team should hold him accountable.

    Here’s how the fans reacted:

“How hard is it for pro athletes to cross the damn goal line before dropping the ball?” questioned one fan.

“I hate being a Colts fan,” said another fan.

One fan added, “Lack of coaching fundamentals and selfish celebration culture.”

“No one’s teaching them fundamentals or holding them accountable,” wrote a fan.

The momentum completely changed after Taylor’s mistake, as before that, the Colts were playing quite well on both sides of the ball. They failed to capitalize on Bo Nix’s three interceptions in the game, and this loss will haunt Indianapolis for a long time.

Taylor’s drop was not the only mistake from the Colts’ offense in Week 15. Wide receiver Adonai Mitchell tried to throw the ball back to Anthony Richardson on a trick play, but Nik Bonitto intercepted his pass, which was returned for a touchdown.

With this loss, the Colts are 6-8 and two games behind the Los Angeles Chargers for the last playoff spot in the AFC. With only three weeks left in the season, it will be quite hard for Indianapolis to finish with a better record than the Chargers.

As for the Broncos, they have the same record as the Baltimore Ravens and can finish as the fifth or sixth seed in the AFC. This is a remarkable achievement for Sean Payton’s team, which is not only led by a rookie quarterback but has worked its way despite taking a cap hit of over $90 million for releasing Russell Wilson.
