John and Jim Harbaugh Go Viral in Hilarious Video on ‘Harbaughisms’

John and Jim Harbaugh are known for their high-profile coaching careers, but they showed their sense of humor in a newly released video.

When John and Jim Harbaugh get together, football speak isn’t the only thing likely to surface from the championship-winning head coaches. Their sense of humor takes the stage as well, which leads to laughs and online reactions.

Harbaugh Brothers Go Viral for ‘Harbaughisms’

The Super Bowl winner with the Baltimore Ravens, John, and the newly hired Los Angeles Chargers head coach, Jim, got together for a rare sit down in Indianapolis during the 2024 NFL Scouting Combine.

But this was unlike any interview, and the video, which was released on Wednesday by both the Chargers and Ravens, sparked reactions. The two brothers shared some inside jokes in front of the camera that drew laughs from both. At one point, the popular Nickelodeon character SpongeBob SquarePants was even mentioned by one of the Harbaughs.

During one sequence, Jim, a national championship-winning head coach with Michigan, shared where the popular phrase “Who’s got it better than us” originated, stemming from a moment when he was forced to walk.

“First time I remember, we were at Iowa City, Iowa, I’m like in first grade, and John was in third. We didn’t have a car, and we had a dealer car. But for some reason, that car wasn’t there. Dad was taking us to school, and we walk out, and we’re like, ‘Where’s the car, Dad?'” Jim began.

Then came Jack Harbaugh’s unique answer as described by the incoming Chargers head coach.

“He goes: ‘No car today, boys! We’re walking. Grab a basketball. Let’s get 100 [dribbles] with the right and 100 with the left. Who’s got it better than us?!'” Harbaugh recalled, which included the famous “Nobody!” response that became popular inside the Michigan and San Francisco 49ers locker rooms when Jim was around.

Further into their Harbaughisms-themed video, the phrase “Hit them with an enthusiasm unknown to mankind” made popular by Jim became brought up. Yet, the former Michigan and 49ers head coach says that quote’s honor goes to an iconic cartoon character that dates back to 2016.

    Fans React to ‘Harbaughisms’

Many fans, including those from Jim’s last U.S. state, took to social media to react to the comedic video.

“The best eight minutes of the day,” was what Michigan Golf Live posted on X (formerly known as Twitter).

Others, more so on the side of Baltimore, are already looking forward to the next time both men will share the football field.

“LA vs Baltimore gonna be a great game,” one fan said, referring to the Ravens’ future SoFi Stadium trip ahead of the 2024 season.

Another fan, though, believes one Harbaugh is more talkative than the other.

“Very wholesome. Loved it. But totally changed my perception of their personalities. Jim Harbaugh is so talkative that he makes John kinda reserved,” the fan shared.
