The 2023 NFL season has been a good one with one week to go. However, the absence of Aaron Rodgers following his injury has been felt, especially by the New York Jets.
Rodgers is making waves again though, but not for football reasons. He has made some accusations toward talk show host Jimmy Kimmel. The thing is, Kimmel isn’t having it. What happened?
Jimmy Kimmel and Aaron Rodgers’ Social Media Beef
It all started with Rodgers’ weekly appearance on The Pat McAfee Show. Rodgers appears on the show every Tuesday, in what is referred to as “Aaron Rodgers Tuesday.” Rodgers was talking about the Jeffrey Epstein associates list being released, where he suggested Kimmel would be named.
Epstein was an American financer and prominent sex offender. He was arrested multiple times on federal charges of sex trafficking of minors. It is believed he was involved with a plethora of major people involved in the trafficking. He died in his jail cell in 2019.
“There’s a lot of people, including Jimmy Kimmel, are really hoping that doesn’t come out,” Rodgers said. “I’ll tell you what, if that list comes out, I definitely will be popping some sort of bottle.”

Kimmel is the host and executive producer of Jimmy Kimmel Live!, a late-night talk show. He responded, threatening legal action if Rodgers doesn’t stop. “Your reckless words put my family in danger,” Kimmel said on X, formerly Twitter. “Keep it up and we will debate the facts further in court.”

Kimmel also explained that he is not on the list. “Dear Aasshole: for the record, I’ve not met, flown with, visited, or had any contact whatsoever with Epstein, nor will you find my name on any “list” other than the clearly-phony nonsense that soft-brained wackos like yourself can’t seem to distinguish from reality,” Kimmel said.

This instance between Kimmel and Rodgers isn’t the first time the two have taken digs at each other. Kimmel took a shot at Rodgers in March on his show before Rodgers was traded to the Jets. The shot referred to when he talked about theories of UFOs being shot down amid the Chinese spy balloon scandal.
“Needless to say, all this UFO talk has the tinfoil-hatters going wild, including Green Bay whack Packer Aaron Rodgers, who offered this hot take on ‘The Pat McAfee Show,’” Kimmel said. “Might be time to revisit that concussion protocol.”
Rodgers was traded to the Jets in early 2023, where he was expected to lead the Jets to their best season in years. However, he suffered a torn Achilles on the fourth play of the season.
Rodgers was recently activated off of injured reserve. However, he will not return to action this season. He will be returning to action in 2024. He is on a three-year, $112.5 million contract with the Jets, where he will likely finish his career.
