Aaron Rodgers’ time with the New York Jets is coming to an end. The franchise plans to part ways with the superstar quarterback after two seasons, one of which he spent injured.
This news has sent shockwaves in the footballing world. Rodgers’ teammate, defensive tackle Quinnen Williams, criticized Rodgers’ decision and left the conversation dramatically.
Quinnen Williams Calls Out the Jets Amidst Aaron Rodgers’ Departure
Reports started leaking that new head coach Aaron Glenn is “moving on” from the 41-year-old the day of Super Bowl 59. Williams took to X to post a thumb-down emoji.
The defensive tackle then deleted this tweet and fired off another. “Another rebuild year for me I guess,” he tweeted again. Williams has been a part of the Jets for six seasons after being drafted in the first round of the 2019 NFL Draft.
Jets reporter Harrison Glaser took to X pointing out Williams’ activity and then stated that he deactivated his X account.

Apart from Williams, Jets running back Breece Hall and defensive end Jermaine Johnson have also shared their disapproval of the Jets not bringing back Rodgers.
NFL Insider Reports on Rodgers’ Future
Reports of the Jets parting ways with Rodgers sparked rumors of other teams being interested in signing the veteran quarterback. Sports Illustrated’s Albert Breer reported that he had received texts from executives regarding Rodgers.
“I thought mentally, and arm-talent-wise, he (Rodgers) was still high-end,” an NFC pro director texted Breer. “The [Jets’ two offensive] tackles weren’t very good, so any time he had to move in the pocket, he struggled. Not sure if that gets better in year two after the injury or worse with age.”
Breer also pointed out that several teams believe that Rodgers still has a season or two left in him in his report on Monday.
