Who Sings the NBC Sunday Night Football Pregame Song?

Eight-time Grammy award winner Carrie Underwood sings the Sunday Night Football opening song, “Waiting All Day for Sunday Night.”

This is the 11th straight season she’s performed the opening for NBC. The video was shot at the Resorts World Theatre in Las Vegas. You can see this year’s version here.

The song is a reworked version of Joan Jett’s “I Hate Myself for Loving You” and debuted in 2006 when NBC started showing Sunday Night Football. Pink performed the song for one season before Faith Hill took over in 2007 and was featured in the opening until Underwood took over.
