Jerry Jeudy Injury Update: Latest News Surrounding Broncos WR

Saturday night's game isn't going the Broncos' way, and WR Jerry Jeudy appeared to suffer an injury. What happened to Jeudy in Week 15?

The Denver Broncos won’t be able to make up any ground in the AFC playoff race after what will end up as a Week 15 loss to the Detroit Lions. Meanwhile, the club’s wide receiver depth could be tested after Jerry Jeudy appeared to suffer an injury on Saturday night. What happened to Jeudy, and what’s his current injury status?

    Jerry Jeudy Injury Update

Denver was down 35-10 in the fourth quarter when Jeudy suffered an injury after bringing in a 15-yard reception from Russell Wilson.

The third-year wideout was slow to get up but eventually left the field under his own power before being evaluated in the blue medical tent on the Broncos’ sideline.

Fortunately, Jeudy appears to have avoided a serious injury. He was cleared to return after being checked out by Denver’s medical staff, as Susie Wargin of the Broncos Radio Network reported.

Injury issues have been a problem throughout Jeudy’s career, but he’s remained mostly healthy in 2023 after missing Week 1 with a hamstring problem. The former first-round pick had posted 42 catches for 507 yards and one touchdown entering Week 15.

What Would the Broncos’ Offense Look Like Without Jeudy?

Jeudy was quietly having one of his better fantasy outings of the 2023 season before getting shaken up in the fourth quarter of Denver’s game against the Lions. Prior to his injury, Jeudy caught three passes for 74 yards, his second-highest receiving total of the season.

If Jeuever to miss timeiss time, Courtland Sutton would continue to be the alpha in the Broncos’ passing game while Marvin Mims, Lil’Jordan Humphrey, and Brandon Johnson would see an expanded role.
