Fantasy football managers who invested a middle-round pick are hopeful Denver Broncos WR Jerry Jeudy will be available for the Week 2 matchup against the Washington Commanders.
If Jeudy is able to practice enough this week to play on Sunday, should you trust him in your fantasy lineup coming off of a hamstring injury?

Latest News Surrounding Jerry Jeudy
Let’s start with some optimism, shall we?
Jeudy managed to start the week as a limited participant in Wednesday’s practice.
#Broncos Wednesday injury report
🔸TE Greg Dulcich (hamstring) – DNP
🔸OLB Frank Clark (hip) – LIMITED
🔸WR Jerry Jeudy (hamstring) – LIMITED
🔸NT D.J. Jones (knee) – LIMITED
🔸CB Riley Moss (abdomen) – LIMITED— MileHighReport (@MileHighReport) September 13, 2023
Now for the pessimistic side of the coin. Jeudy was a limited participant in practice last Wednesday and still did not play in the season opener against the Las Vegas Raiders.
Update: Jeudy was a full participant at practice on Thursday and is in line to start in Week 2.
Will Jeudy Play This Week?
While he is off to an encouraging start this week, Jeudy shareholders are in for another journey of seeking updates as we approach Sunday’s game to get a feel for his availability.

If we put on our positive outlook hat again, reports do seem to indicate that Jeudy was close to playing in Week 1 and appears to be trending in the right direction for Week 2.
What Does This Mean for Jeudy’s Fantasy Ranking?
This is where it gets tricky for fantasy managers who are eager to get Jeudy into their starting lineups.
One on hand, Jeudy has the big-play upside in a revamped offense that looked like they were in desperate need of a go-to playmaker for quarterback Russell Wilson. One could argue the Broncos could’ve won that game if Jeudy was active.

On the other hand, there are plenty of fantasy football horror stories of managers inserting a wide receiver back into their starting lineup the first game back from a hamstring injury, only to watch the receiver reaggravate the injury early in the contest and give you very little production.
Currently, I’ve got Jeudy at WR30 in my weekly rankings because of the risk his injured hamstring represents, but if he manages to log a full practice on Friday, I could be inclined to bump him up my rankings against the Commanders.
If Jeudy is unable to return for Week 2, it will certainly bump Courtland Sutton back into the top 40 at the wide receiver position and make him a decent Flex option in deeper leagues.
