Quarterback Jayden Daniels and the Washington Commanders are scheduled to face the Philadelphia Eagles in the NFC Championship Game. The Eagles are considered heavy favorites, but former Heisman winner and Washington quarterback Robert Griffin III made a bold prediction about the Commanders-Eagles game on NFL Network.
Robert Griffin III Takes Firm Stance on Jayden Daniels, NFC Championship Game
On the air, Griffin talked about the keys to the game for each team. He expressed concern for the Eagles, saying that if they did not pull away early, the Commanders could pull off another upset.
“I think the Eagles defense has the advantage physically. Number one scoring defense, number one total defense. They have the advantage in personnel, they have the advantage in playing experience, but mentally, Jayden Daniels and the Washington Commanders have the advantage because the last time these two teams played, he stocked them down like the anchor leg on a 4×400 meter relay.
“They won that game, five TD passes. If you’re the Eagles, at home in The Linc, you want to make sure you put away the Commanders early because if they don’t, it’ll be déjà vu. The Commanders already know they can come back from two, three scores if they have to. The Eagles have to go into this thing and think about smothering out the Commanders. Otherwise, it’s going to be a long day for them.”

The Commanders have been the Cinderella story of the NFL playoffs this year. They defeated the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the Wild Card round to win their first playoff game since 2005. They then went into Detroit in the Divisional Round and upset the Detroit Lions. Now, they have the chance to advance to the Super Bowl for the first time since they won it in 1992.
Obviously, one of the biggest reasons for Washington’s success has been Daniels’ stellar play. Despite being a rookie, he’s elevated his play and looks like one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL. With him leading the way, the Commanders have one of the most dynamic offenses in the league.
