    Jaxson Dart’s Senior Bowl

Dart has impressed scouts and analysts with his abilities at Senior Bowl practices. While he was often among the best QBs in college football, his collegiate offense was simplified. With questions on how his abilities would translate, Dart used the Senior Bowl to display what he could offer.

His mental attributes are helping his stock big time. He showed that he can adapt to tougher play calls and a more complex offense. While it is just practice, he impressed scouts with the quick transition he was able to make when understanding more complicated concepts.

It wasn’t only the questions of his mental abilities to be answered at the Senior Bowl. He threw the ball impressively.

“He can push the ball wherever you need him to,” said ESPN analyst Louis Riddick.

Riddick was extremely impressed by Dart’s showing this week, throwing any ball that may be required of him. The NFL demands a level much higher than college football — Dart showed that he can hang at the NFL level with his Senior Bowl performance.

    Dart’s 2025 NFL Draft Outlook

Dart threw for 4,279 yards and 29 touchdowns this past season for the Ole Miss Rebels. He had the fourth-best QBR in the entire country. The Rebels run a quick, dynamic, and explosive offense, and Dart’s ability was a key contributor to that. Dart’s mobility goes under the radar as he rushed for almost 500 yards this season. Finishing as the all-time passing leader at Ole Miss in three years as a starter, it was his time to enter the NFL Draft.

Entering the Senior Bowl, Dart didn’t have much buzz around his name. He seemed likely to be a mid-to-late-round pick and in the middle of the pack of QBs drafted. His performance may have changed that, though. Outside of Miami QB Cam Ward and Colorado QB Shedeur Sanders, there is no consensus QB3 in the draft.

Dart might have that recognition now, though. Alabama QB Jalen Milroe was often seen as the next QB behind Sanders and Ward. After he reportedly struggled at the Senior Bowl this week and Dart skyrocketing up boards, it might be Dart’s turn as the favorite to be drafted after Sanders and Ward.

His stock will be one to monitor throughout the offseason after his impressive showing at this year’s Senior Bowl.
