‘The Butthole and Armpit of America’ — Eagles Super Bowl Winner Takes Playful Shot at Cowboys Ahead of MNF

    Published on

NFC East chaos: an ex-Philly champ threw shade at the Cowboys as the rivalry drama escalated with next-level trash talk amid slim playoff hopes.

The Philadelphia Eagles-Dallas Cowboys rivalry just went full-on Game of Thrones, and Philly came wielding the ultimate verbal sword! Ahead of Monday Night Football, a former Eagles Super Bowl winner served up some next-level trash talk, calling the Cowboys … well, something that belongs in a roast from “The Simpsons.”

This NFC East battle already had fireworks, but now, it’s a full-blown spectacle with a side of spicy banter. With both teams fighting for dominance, this dig adds extra fuel to the fire.

Jason Kelce Throws Savage Shot at Cowboys, Igniting NFC East Drama

Jason Kelce just flipped the script on the NFC East rivalry, and social media’s about to need some serious moderation.

On ESPN’s “Monday Night Countdown,” the Eagles’ Super Bowl-winning center turned analyst unleashed a savage shot at the Cowboys, calling them “the butthole and armpit of America,” a reference to the show “The Simpsons” which was airing an alternate broadcast on Monday night.

The reference was an ode to the residents of the fictional town of Springfield, the setting of “The Simpsons.” In the show, residents often humorously refer to different locations using unflattering comparisons to parts of the human body.

Kelce brought the kind of energy that makes NFL rivalries worth watching.

The comment landed with an audible shockwave across the set. Even Ryan Clark and Marcus Spears couldn’t help but let out a collective “Woah” and “Hey, hey.”

But Kelce, always the fearless Philly guy, just laughed it off as a joke. Of course, if you’ve ever worn an Eagles jersey, “joking” about the Cowboys means no love lost — just pure, unfiltered disdain.

Kelce, now bringing that Eagles grit to ESPN, spent 13 seasons with the team, leading them to their first Super Bowl title. He knows firsthand what it means to battle the Cowboys twice a season — and that rivalry is like a Philly cheesesteak: gritty, greasy, and full of beef.

As the Cowboys were back in action at AT&T Stadium without Dak Prescott, Kelce’s jab reminded everyone: In NFC East wars, loyalty is to the team, the city, and, most importantly, to trolling the Cowboys with surgical precision.

The Cowboys’ Wild Card Quest Hangs by a Thread

The Cowboys’ playoff dreams went from grim to maybe-kind-of-interesting after a surprise win over the Washington Commanders. Then, on Thanksgiving, they snagged their first home win of the season against the New York Giants — a performance that made Micah Parsons boldly declare belief in a turnaround.

“Everybody counted us out,” Parsons said. “And it was just like enough is enough. We know what we got. We know what we can do here. And I believe in every one of these guys. I believe we’re going to turn it around and make a run.”

Cool speech, Parsons, but let’s not get ahead of ourselves.

At 5-7, the Cowboys’ postseason chances were at 3.5% heading into their Week 14 MNF matchup after beating one of the league’s bottom-tier teams the week before. Not exactly a cause for a Super Bowl parade.

To clinch a Wild Card berth, the Cowboys would need a perfect storm: wins stacked up, losses for NFC rivals, and some divine intervention — the kind only seen in epic sports movies.

So, while the hype train isn’t completely derailed, it’s still navigating a treacherous track. The climb is steep, but, hey — for Big D fans, hope still lingers in the margins.
