Jason Kelce Named Sexiest Man Alive Finalist: People Magazine’s 2023 Edition Includes Eagles Center

    Published on

From the Super Bowl to now, Jason Kelce has had a crazy year. Now, he's been named a finalist for the People's Magazine "Sexiest Man Alive."

The Philadelphia Eagles are the best team in the NFC and one of the top in the entire NFL. Center Jason Kelce has been one of the biggest reasons why. On and off the field, Kelce seems to be on top of his game right now. From leading the “Brotherly Shove” to being the host of one of the most popular spots podcasts on the planet, New Heights, what doesn’t he do?

Over his 12-year NFL career, Kelce has been a Super Bowl champion, six-time Pro Bowl selection, and five-time first-team All-Pro selection. He most recently lost Super Bowl LVII to the Kansas City Chiefs and his brother, Travis Kelce.

However, Jason’s best accomplishment might be something completely unrelated to the NFL. He was selected as a finalist for People Magazine’s 2023 edition of “Sexiest Man Alive.”

How Did Jason Kelce Become a Finalist for Sexiest Man Alive?

Kelce’s 2023 has been a wild ride. From playing in the Super Bowl to performing on Saturday Night Live and releasing his documentary on Amazon titled “Kelce,” that doesn’t even cover it all.

Kelce was included as a finalist alongside the likes of Jamie Foxx, Lenny Kravitz, Usher, Timothée Chalamet, and Pedro Pascal.

As if Kelce’s year wasn’t crazy enough, his brother and fellow podcast co-host, Travis, is the subject of a media craze due to his relationship with pop star Taylor Swift.

The news broke during Week 10 when the Eagles were on a bye. “I’ve been wondering what’s been taking so long,” said Kelce, in mention of his honors.

“I don’t know how this all happened, but it’s honestly just another day,” Kelce said. “My wife tells me all the time I’m the sexiest man in the world, so I’ve been wondering what’s been taking so long for this nomination to happen. It’s been a whirlwind; it’s been fun. It’s a win for plus-sized bearded men all over.”

Kelce has been married to his wife, Kylie Kelce, since 2018. He met her during his time in Philadelphia with the Eagles. They actually met on Tinder. The couple share three children: Wyatt, Elliotte, and Bennett.

According to Jason, these finalist honors are no surprise to his wife.

Who Won People’s Sexiest Man Alive in 2023?

Unfortunately for the Eagles superstar, actor Patrick Dempsey ultimately took the award in 2023. For those who might not be as in touch with television and movies, Dempsey is most famous for his role as “McDreamy” in Grey’s Anatomy. He has also starred in a long list of other movies, including Enchanted and Sweet Home Alabama.

“I’m glad it’s happening at this point in my life,” the Maine native, 57, told PEOPLE. “It’s nice to have the recognition, and certainly my ego takes a little bump, but it gives me the platform to use it for something positive.”
