Jason Kelce officially announced his retirement from the NFL, and the outpouring of love and support across the sports world has been evident.

The 2023 season was filled with the Kelce Brothers dominating the headlines, and with Jason Kelce officially deciding to retire, it’s only right to let the good times roll. Jason is universally known as one of the good guys around the NFL, and with his departure from the league now official, the sports world is taking the opportunity to pay their respects.

The latest to do so was the NBA’s Cleveland Cavaliers. Kelce is a native of Ohio, and his hometown basketball team took the opportunity to honor and congratulate him on his successful NFL career.

Jason Kelce Honored at Cleveland Cavaliers Game

Both Jason and Travis Kelce are very proud of where they’re from, and the Cleveland Heights natives were given a chance to be honored among their people on Tuesday night in front of a massive Cavaliers crowd.

The MC for the event told the crowd, “Get on your feet, make some noise for seven-time Pro Bowler and from the Cleveland Heights High School, Jason Kelce!”

Both Kelce brothers were center stage in the middle of the floor as Jason was presented with a framed Cavaliers jersey that dawned his name and number. He was treated with a standing ovation by the hometown crowd as he lifted his Cleveland Heights t-shirt, the high school both he and Travis went to while growing up.

In addition to the festivities that took place at center court, it was also “Kelce Brothers Bobblehead Night,” allowing for each fan in attendance to take home a bobblehead of both local legends.

The Kelce brothers have been on a tremendous run over the last year and a half, with the two meeting in last year’s Super Bowl, to having a tremendously successful new podcast and high-profile dating life.

The NFL world and the sports world as a whole have seen a lot of the Kelce brothers as of late. Despite Travis’ massive success and exposure as he won his second consecutive Super Bowl just under a month ago, last night was about his older brother.
