Jason Kelce Addresses Fans’ Criticism Over Excessive Screen Time on TV for Eagles Legend

    Published on

Philadelphia Eagles legend Jason Kelce responded humorously to fans after being criticized for appearing too much on people's televisions.

Jason Kelce retired from the NFL following the end of last season. The Philadelphia Eagles legend played 13 seasons in the league and is a future Hall of Famer.

Despite his retirement from the sport, Kelce is still quite famous, owing to his successful podcast with his younger brother, Travis Kelce. Jason is also working with ESPN on Monday Night Football and has been featured in multiple commercials, including those for Buffalo Wild Wings, Campbell’s Chunky Spicy Chicken Noodle Soup, General Mills, etc.

Some fans, however, got annoyed after seeing that Kelce was on their television sets in one way or another. The former NFL star recently responded to that criticism in a unique way.

Jason Kelce Came Up With a Hilarious Response to Criticism From Fans

Kelce hilariously accepted that he is in too many commercials. He also mentioned that his daughter, Wyatt, already sees enough of him and doesn’t need to see her dad on television.

“Couldn’t agree more, how is it even possible to film that many commercials,” said Kelce. “Wyatt sees enough of me, she doesn’t need to see more of Dad’s face or shi**y jokes in 4K! She does love Hank though.”

Fans’ criticism started after it was reported that ESPN was planning to launch a late-night show with Kelce. Reports indicate that other celebrities and athletes will also feature on the show, but ESPN and the former NFL player are currently working on the details related to it.

The Kelce family is very popular in America due to Travis and Jason’s success, as well as the younger Kelce’s relationship with Taylor Swift. The Kansas City Chiefs tight end’s relationship with Swift has led to a large number of new fans who have started following the NFL. All these fans love the Kelce family and will be tuned in to watch the show.

With Kelce now retired, he has time to allocate for such shows and continue to have success off the field. The former Eagles center made $81.7 million through his NFL career earnings and will likely surpass that number very quickly through his off-field endeavors in the coming years.

Kelce’s Eagles Will Face a Tough Challenge in Week 8

The Eagles lost a big leader in Kelce this offseason. Despite that, Philadelphia has started the season well and is now 4-2 heading into Week 8, where they will face the Cincinnati Bengals.

This will arguably be the Eagles’ toughest matchup so far this season, but they have the capability to come away with a win against Joe Burrow and company. The Bengals’ defense has stepped up in the last two weeks, but they’re still allowing 23.7 points per game this season.

Quarterback Jalen Hurts has played well since the Eagles’ bye in Week 5 and has not turned the ball over once in the last two games. Philadelphia’s defense has also improved over the course of the season and has allowed more than 20 points just once in their last four games.

With a win against the Bengals, the Eagles could position themselves to win the NFC East. The two teams last played in 2020, with the game ending in a 23-23 tie. This will be the first time, however, that Hurts and Burrow will go against each other in the NFL.
