Who Is Jaren Hall’s Wife, Breanna McCarter? Everything We Know About Vikings QB’s Family

    Published on

Jaren Hall has made his way to the NFL and found some playing time for the Minnesota Vikings this season -- all with the support of his wife, Breanna McCarter.

Jaren Hall, the Minnesota Vikings‘ rookie quarterback, is set to make his second start of the season in the team’s Sunday Night Football clash with the division-rival Green Bay Packers. Hall’s wife, Breanna McCarter, has been alongside him every step of the way during his up-and-down debut season.

    Who Is Jaren Hall’s Wife?

The two first met when McCarter was a fifth-year senior soccer player at Utah Valley University and Hall was a freshman at BYU. McCarter told the Daily Universe, BYU’s campus newspaper, that the two first met at an ice cream shop after Hall had returned from a mission trip.

They eventually began talking and started dating, then the rest was history. The pair married not long later on Dec. 6, 2019, in Provo, Utah.

McCarter had a successful soccer career at Utah Valley, tallying 14 goals and 17 assists across 84 appearances, including 48 starts. She scored three game-winners across 4,610 career minutes with the program. That came on the heels of a standout high school career at Highland High School in Gilbert, Arizona.

McCarter is the daughter of parents Doug and Bev and majored in exercise science at Utah Valley. Hall and McCarter have had one child since marrying — a daughter named Jayda who was born in July 2021.

Hall told the Daily Universe that McCarter helps push him to be an improved version of himself, both in football and life.

“She pushes me to want to be better not just in football, but in all aspects of my life,” Hall said. “She’s my rock through all the highs and lows.”

McCarter agreed, telling the Daily Universe that Hall’s ultimate goal is to make a great life for his family.

“Obviously he loves football, but his end goal is just to kind of make life great for all of us and make us happy,” McCarter said.

It’s a formula that helped Hall find his way to the NFL after being drafted in the fifth round of the 2023 NFL Draft by the Vikings. He has since made two appearances for the franchise, including one start, going 8 of 10 for 101 yards with no touchdowns or interceptions as a passer.

He is just one of several quarterbacks who have been thrust into action for Minnesota after Kirk Cousins’ season-ending injury. Joshua Dobbs and Nick Mullens have also seen time at the spot.

Minnesota head coach Kevin O’Connell ultimately turned back to Hall this week, however, after struggles by Dobbs and then Mullens in recent weeks.

Time will tell how well Hall takes advantage of his opportunity.
