Verse a Top 2024 NFL Draft Prospect at EDGE
Florida State came into this game already reeling from injuries. They lost both of their star wide receivers, Keon Coleman and Johnny Wilson, due to injuries, and Verse was arguably their best player left.
Verse was Pro Football Network’s top EDGE prospect in the 2024 NFL Draft entering the year after amassing nine sacks and 17 tackles for loss in the 2022 campaign.
He’s since fallen down the board a bit but is still a top-five prospect at his position and a potential Round 1 pick in the 2024 NFL Draft next April.
So far this year, the 6’4″, 249-pound Verse has 4.5 sacks and 6.5 tackles for loss, and he’s coming off a game against Wake Forest where he notched two quarterback takedowns.
A former transfer from Albany, Verse is known for his explosiveness, power, and tenacious hand-fighting ability as a pass rusher, and he also brings plenty of utility setting the edge in the run game.
