The 10-0 James Madison Dukes are one of the best Group of Five teams, and their 2024 NFL Draft foundation is at the center of their success. Who are the Dukes’ top prospects, and who might end up being selected in the 2024 NFL Draft?
James Madison 2024 NFL Draft Prospects
Here are some of the top JMU NFL Draft prospects for the 2024 cycle — led by two incredibly productive defensive linemen.
EDGE Jalen Green
Unfortunately, Jalen Green recently suffered a major knee injury that ended his season prematurely. But before that injury, he was pacing the nation in sacks and tackles for loss, proving to be an unstoppable force for opposing tackles.
In just nine games, Green managed to accumulate 15.5 sacks and 21 tackles for a loss. Against Marshall, he dominated with five sacks, winning with his natural leverage and unyielding motor.
At 6’1″, 245 pounds, Green is a massive size outlier but lacks elite athleticism. Those factors, combined with the injury, limit his chances of being drafted, but he still has the tenacity and pass-rush arsenal to potentially be a third-down specialist.
DT Jamree Kromah
Green is the more prestigious producer on the collegiate stage, but Jamree Kromah is the James Madison defender with the higher NFL ceiling. He’s also higher on my 2024 NFL Draft board.
Kromah, who stands around 6’4″, and 275 pounds, was on Rutgers’ roster for three years before transferring to James Madison in 2022. 2023 has been a breakout campaign for Kromah, who has amassed nine sacks and 18.5 TFLs.

Kromah’s production has gone overlooked because of Green, but he’s an intriguing small-school sleeper. At his size, he’s explosive, flexible in the hips, and extremely powerful with his length and leg drive. His profile invites alignment versatility.
I included Kromah in my most recent full seven-round NFL Mock Draft, sending him to the San Francisco 49ers in Round 7. There, his blend of tools would be weaponized by DL coach Kris Kocurek.
QB Jordan McCloud
Green and Kromah are the two 2024 NFL Draft prospects on James Madison’s roster with the best chances to be selected, but there are several players who could make noise in the UDFA pool.
Jordan McCloud is the Dukes’ quarterback. Since transferring from Arizona, he’s been superb. This season, he’s completed nearly 70% of his passes for 2,800 yards, 26 touchdowns, and seven interceptions. He’s also added over 300 rushing yards and six scores on the ground.
At around 6’0″, and 199 pounds, McCloud is lacking arm strength. Still, he is a mobile passer with great composure and solid decision-making — someone who could earn a spot as depth or a practice squad QB in a rotation.
WR Reggie Brown
McCloud’s breakout year hasn’t gone without its beneficiaries. The main one has been wide receiver Reggie Brown, who, as a sixth-year senior, has finally logged his own statistical breakout.
On the year, the 6’1″, 195-pound Brown has 45 catches for 903 yards and eight touchdowns.
He might not be elite in any one area, but Brown is a nuanced veteran through-and-through, who can channel his passable burst and speed with effective throttle control and angle awareness as a route runner.
S Jarius Reimonenq
Every cycle, there are at least a few small-school DBs who make their names known in the UDFA pool. James Madison safety Jarius Reimonenq could be one of those prospects in the 2024 NFL Draft circuit.
Reimonenq started his career at Arkansas State, where he was a multi-year starter. Known as a rangy, multifaceted playmaker, he peaked in 2021 with 67 tackles, two tackles for a loss, two interceptions, and seven pass breakups.
At James Madison, Reimonenq has only solidified his reputation as the do-it-all veteran. He was recruited as a cornerback, can play safety or the slot, and can make plays in coverage or come downhill in support.
