Bye weeks are still going strong, with four teams on a bye this week. When also factoring in injuries, fantasy football managers have some tough decisions to make in Week 10.
One such dilemma involves two of the more versatile backs in the league. Should fantasy managers roll with the Arizona Cardinals‘ James Conner and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers‘ Rachaad White this week?
Should you start James Conner or Rachaad White for Fantasy Football in Week 10?
In the Pro Football Network Start/Sit Optimizer, PFN’s Consensus Rankings say managers should start White. He is projected to have 13.8 fantasy points on 37 rushing yards and 30.7 yards through the air on 5.3 receptions.
Conner is projected to have 10.1 fantasy points on 33.8 rushing yards, 2.8 receptions, and 18.1 receiving yards.

I agree with the Optimizer, as I am leaning towards White in this decision, especially based on his pass-catching talent.
James Conner’s Fantasy Outlook
Conner hasn’t been on the field since Week 5 against the Bengals due to a knee injury, and this week, his return coincides with Kyler Murray’s season debut.
Arizona’s rushing attack has been less than desirable without Conner, and when he was on the field, he usually delivered — Conner was RB24 or better in three of the five games he’s suited up for thus far this season.
This week, the Cardinals take on the Falcons, which have allowed the sixth-fewest fantasy points to RBs. That metric, combined with the potential rust Conner may be dealing with, will make fantasy managers nervous to start him.
If Conner is your only option, you can slide him into your lineup, but I would prefer to give him a week to see how this new Arizona offense looks. Conner comes in as RB26 in PFN’s Consensus Rankings this week.
Rachaad White’s Fantasy Outlook
White is currently RB16 on the season and has had three fantastic weeks.
He’s ranked as RB16, RB11, and RB1 in Weeks 7-9. The latter figure came on the strength of 119 all-purpose yards and two TDs this past Sunday against the Texans. White is an especially proficient receiver, totaling 30 or more receiving yards in half of his games. He is tenth in targets and second in receptions among RBs.
This week, the Bucs take on the Tennessee Titans, which rank No. 19 with 114.8 rushing yards per game allowed to RBs and have also given up 174 receiving yards to the position.
To be a worthwhile start, White needs to continue to be involved in the passing game, and he stands a good chance of doing so against the Titans. He is RB14 this week in PFN’s Consensus Rankings and should be the start over Conner.
