NFL QB Jameis Winston Hilariously Asks Eagles, Chiefs Stars To ‘Eat a W’ With Him While Serving as Super Bowl Correspondent

Jameis Winston brought back the "W" cookies, but this time to brilliant affect during the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles media night.

As bad as the Cleveland Browns were this season, they gave the NFL world Jameis Winston interviews, and there might not be a better thing in the sport. After nearly every Browns game, Winston would break the internet with his unique combination of humility, hilarity, and faith.

The NFL looked to capitalize on it and made him a Super Bowl correspondent with Fox Sports. And on media night with the two teams, Winston’s charisma was on full display. He began a wild trend with nearly every player he could get his hands on, stealing the show on the evening.

Jameis Winston Has ‘W’ Idea for Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs

The entire idea began with Winston tossing “W” cookies to players to catch. After the 2017 pregame controversy, he has now embraced the memes and made a hilarious bit out of it.

Whether it was a Philadelphia Eagles or Kansas City Chiefs player, Winston made his mark everywhere. When it came to Chiefs legend Travis Kelce, Winston had a simple question, “Can you catch a W for me?”

When Kelce replied in the affirmative, Winston tossed the cookie, adding, “Catch this W first.”

But since it wasn’t a clean catch, Winston added, “Thank you, my brother. Can you catch one more for me so we get a clean W?”

However, the cookie bounced off of the podium, leading to some incredible comedic timing from Winston who claimed, “You know, someone always trying to intercept my stuff. I didn’t think it was going to happen here,” as Kelce broke down laughing before catching the third toss from the Browns’ quarterback.

On the year, Winston had 13 touchdowns against 12 interceptions, leading to his comments with Kelce. Even though he was producing at a solid rate, the risk-reward ratio wasn’t sustainable for any team.

However, Winston wasn’t done just yet. His next target was Eagles offensive tackle Jordan Mailata.

“Can you eat a W with me? Oh yeah, catch one.”

Unfortunately, as he tossed it to Mailata’s podium, the force of the catch broke the cookie, leading Winston to remark, “I think it’s an N now.”

When Mailata questioned where they came from, Winston was back to his usual antics.

“Australian black market; they were selling them.”

The two continued to joust with each other before Winston gave the offensive tackle his best wishes. That’s because he had acquired his next target, Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts.

“I want you to eat a W,” but Hurts dropped the toss, once again leading to a Winston quip. “That’s why you play quarterback.”

Winston’s next target, however, was DeVonta Smith, a fellow Heisman winner with whom he had a long history. Winston was extremely appreciative of Smith.

“DeVonta, we know we here for the Super Bowl, baby. We know you going right down the street, and there’s so many stakes on this game, man, and I know you ready for it. I can look it in your eyes. But the question that we all wanna know the answer is, ‘What’s your favorite color?'”

When the superstar wide receiver responded with pink, Winston was ready, “Run away from the pink toes. My wife’s favorite color is pink toes. She loves them pink toenails. I just wanna give you your flowers, man. You earned this every step of the way, you my Heisman brother, man. Lemme just give you a W, bro. Can I give you a W?”

As Smith couldn’t hide his smile, he agreed and the two connected on the catch.

“I appreciate you, my brother. Make sure you eat that,” Winston said.

Cleveland’s QB wasn’t done yet, though. Winston’s next target was a man looking to etch his name in history — Chiefs head coach Andy Reid. Just like Smith, Winston had a lot of praise to shower on Reid.

“Coach, man, I’m honored to grow up during this time to see you coaching in multiple Super Bowls for my favorite team and now for the Kansas City Chiefs. I hope I can play for you one day. I know it’s free agency. Can you do one thing for me, though? Can you eat a W with me? Will you catch?”

As Reid caught it, Winston added one final quip, “I’ll enjoy watching your punt, pass, and kick competitions,” to which the Chiefs’ HC responded, “Yeah, but I wish I could throw it as well as you do.”

A week that is incredibly tense and stressful for the teams preparing for the Super Bowl saw an incredible breath of fresh air courtesy of Winston. His combination of genuineness, mixed with his incredible humor, made him a highlight of the entire media night.
