Polk played at Texas Tech for one season in 2020, starting seven of 10 games, recording 28 receptions for 264 yards and two TDs.

In 2021, he transferred to the University of Washington. He played in only three games with two starts in his first year at Washington due to injury and finished with five receptions for 114 yards and a touchdown.

    Polk’s Potential in the NFL

Pro Football Network draft analyst Ian Cummings said Polk grades out as a top-50 prospect and a fringe first-round talent in the 2024 NFL Draft.

“Polk’s fluidity as an athlete grants him all-encompassing versatility, both as a separator and an offensive weapon,” Cummings wrote.

“He can be used on motions and on multiple planes, and when working against stems in off-man and zone, he has the angle IQ, deceptive intent, and throttle control to create space for himself. Without a doubt, however, Polk’s best trait is his finishing ability at the catch point.”

Cummings said Polk’s strengths include using near-elite explosive capacity to create late-snap separation versus tight coverage, possessing the speed to sear through intermediate zones after off-setting DBs at stems, and being an incredibly fluid route runner who can stack effortless hip transitions on double-moves.

His weaknesses include not having elite breakaway speed as a RAC threat, being run down in space, and lacking the mass to consistently bowl through contact and absorb solo hits in space.

Overall, Polk is one of the most diverse receivers in the class and a supremely well-rounded player.
