Jalen Reagor reportedly has a new home.
According to multiple reports, the 25-year-old receiver was signed to an AFC West team’s practice squad on Monday. The move arrived roughly a week after Reagor’s embarrassing, social media-related departure from the New England Patriots.
Jalen Reagor Signs With Chargers After Patriots Release
Reagor joined the Los Angeles Chargers practice squad, as first reported by insider Jordan Schultz. Although it would be a surprise to see Reagor elevated for Sunday’s game against the Kansas City Chiefs, Schultz indicated Reagor could be elevated soon.
The Chargers hadn’t officially announced Reagor’s signing as of late Tuesday morning. They began the day with two other receivers — Dez Fitzpatrick and Jaylen Johnson — on their practice squad.

Reagor has 79 catches for 937 yards and four TDs in 56 career games. He also brings added value as an elite kickoff returner.
Los Angeles and Kansas City are scheduled to kick off at 4:25 p.m. ET on Sunday. The status of Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert remains uncertain after he aggravated a high-ankle sprain in Week 3.
Why Did the Patriots Release Reagor?
Last Tuesday, Reagor posted a popular meme showing a Bugatti sports car in a mobile home park. The meme can be interpreted in multiple ways; however, one interpretation is that the person posting the photo believes they’re too good for their situation.

You have to wonder if the veteran wide receiver is unhappy being on New England’s practice squad.

Reagor soon deleted the post, but he was released hours later. Doug Kyed of the Boston Herald offered insight into Reagor’s release.
“Reagor’s release wasn’t the direct result of the social media post,” Kyed wrote. “The speedy wideout had expressed similar sentiments internally leading up to Tuesday’s roster move, according to a source.”
Reagor infamously was selected 21st overall by the Philadelphia Eagles in the 2020 NFL Draft. He was released after his second season, spent the 2022 campaign with the Minnesota Vikings, and was with the Patriots all of last season.
Reagor began the campaign on the practice squad but eventually was signed to the 53-man roster. He caught seven balls for 138 yards while maintaining his status as a dangerous returner.
The 25-year-old was consistently productive throughout training camp this summer but was released ahead of roster cutdowns. He rejoined the practice squad but wasn’t elevated for either of the team’s first two contests.
Now in his fourth NFL stop, Reagor will look to get his career back on track.
