Jacksonville Jaguars’ Schedule 2024-2025: Dates, Times, TV Channels, Strength of Schedule, and More

The Jacksonville Jaguars hope to rebound after a disappointing 2023 season where expectations were high following a surprise playoff run in 2022. After starting the season 8-3, they went 1-5 the rest of the way and missed the postseason.

Will the Jaguars return to the NFL playoffs in 2024? Let’s take a look at their opponents,  strength of schedule, a record prediction, prime-time games, and some of their biggest matchups of the season.

Jacksonville Jaguars’ Schedule and Opponents

The complete 2024 NFL schedule was released on May 15 at 8 p.m. ET, and we have it in the table below (which is best viewed in landscape mode).

Jaguars’ Strength of Schedule

In 2023, the Jaguars faced a first-place schedule, which was inherently tougher than the year before when they played a fourth-place schedule. Now, in 2024, they’ll play a second-place schedule.

According to PFN’s in-house metric, the Jaguars have the 16th-easiest schedule in the NFL, which is right in the middle of the pack. While many thought the AFC South was going to be a cakewalk in 2023, that is definitely not the case anymore.

The Texans, led by QB C.J. Stroud, have emerged as a playoff contender, while the Colts and Titans could be competitive this season as well.

Jaguars Record Prediction: 10-7

The Jaguars’ win total for 2024 sits at 8.5 at DraftKings Sportsbook with the over sitting at -125 and the under at +105. One reason why people might be betting their over is QB Trevor Lawrence, who has the ability to elevate the Jaguars to new heights when he is healthy.

Lawrence was expected to take a major step in 2023, but his stats didn’t show that. Instead, he dealt with plenty of wide-receiver drops and injuries throughout the season. According to Lawrence himself, he didn’t feel 100% until March.

Now, with Lawrence healthy and the Jaguars no longer the team to beat in the AFC South, they can just work to get their mojo back and try to win games.

While Jacksonville lost Calvin Ridley in free agency, they signed Gabe Davis and drafted Brian Thomas Jr. with the No. 23 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft.

It’s also worth noting that they have significantly improved in the trenches on both sides of the ball with the additions of Arik Armstead, Mitch Morse and Maason Smith.

Additionally, the Jaguars have finished with nine wins in consecutive seasons, it’s hard to see them finishing too much better or worse. Their range of outcomes is likely in the range of seven-to-12-wins, just as it was last year.

Prime-Time Games

• Week 3: Jaguars at Bills (MNF)
• Week 9: Jaguars at Eagles (SNF)

This season, the Jaguars have two prime-time games, which is down from three in 2023. However, Jacksonville will also play two standalone morning games in London: Week 6 against the Bears and Week 7 against the Patriots.

When Is Jacksonville’s Bye Week?

The Jaguars’ bye is in Week 12. They will have two weeks to prepare for their Week 13 matchup against the Houston Texans.

Biggest Matchups of the Year

The Jaguars’ 2024 schedule is not short of big-time matchups, with the AFC likely to be very competitive once again.

They’ll have their divisional opponents as always, which will be a battle of its own, but they also have a handful of other tough matchups that could determine how their season ends up.

In just the AFC, they’ll travel to the Bills and Dolphins while hosting the Browns and Jets (with a presumably healthy Aaron Rodgers). Then in the NFC, they’ll play against the Packers and Eagles, two returning playoff teams from last season.
