    What Happened to Isaac Guerendo?

Guerendo was awkwardly tackled on a carry with 13:19 remaining in the first quarter. Unfortunately, he had to be carted off and was immediately ruled out of the game with knee and ankle injuries.

Guerendo was in noticeable pain being carted off, and the team declaring him out so quickly is a tough sign. Hopefully some of that stems from this being a meaningless game for the 49ers and exercising caution with the rookie back.

Prior to exiting, Guerendo had two carries for five yards.

Potential Fantasy Fallout From Guerendo’s Injury

The 49ers are playing out the string this season, but their rash of injuries at the running back position have to be considered when it comes to fantasy football in 2025.

Christian McCaffrey is clearly an elite talent, but his high-end usage certainly helped amplify his status. Will that be the case when healthy next season? Only time will tell, but I’d expect the front half of first rounds this summer to be WR-heavy and for the most popular drafting strategy to have at least one, if not two, receivers through the first two rounds.
