Is Trevor Lawrence Playing Today? Latest Injury Update as QB’s Iron Man Streak Continues To Impress

There’s no doubting Trevor Lawrence’s toughness. Despite the Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback suffering an ankle injury two weeks ago, he was still able to suit up and play in Week 14.

However, a new week presents a new challenge, and with adding another game’s worth of wear and tear on the injury, some are wondering if Lawrence will be available for the tough Week 15 matchup against the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday.

Is Trevor Lawrence Going To Play in Week 15?

Lawrence suffered what was initially diagnosed as an ankle sprain in an overtime loss to the Cincinnati Bengals on Monday Night Football in Week 13.

An MRI would later reveal that he had suffered a high ankle sprain, which typically results in most players missing at least some time to heal.

Despite all that, Lawrence defied the odds and was able to man his customary spot under center for the Jaguars last Sunday, and he looks to be in line to do so again in Week 15 against the Ravens.

Lawrence was listed on the injury report earlier this week but was able to take his usual workload throughout those practices, and nothing has changed the positive outlook when it comes to his availability for Week 15 after being able to grit it out the week prior.

    Lawrence Is Needed Against Baltimore

Set to host the team with the best record in the AFC, it’s a big deal for the Jaguars to have their starting QB ready to go for this week’s matchup. The Ravens come into the week 10-3 and have a quarterback in Lamar Jackson who is playing his way into MVP conversations.

Baltimore has a quality football team and is quite possibly playing some of their best football of the season right now. They come into Week 15 needing a win just as badly as the Jaguars do.

MORE: Jacksonville Jaguars’ Playoff Scenarios and Chances

With a slim one-game lead over the Miami Dolphins for the AFC’s No. 1 seed, every game is important to the Ravens as they try and keep control of the top spot and the bye week that comes with it.

Jacksonville has lost two in a row and is badly in need of a win, as they jockey for the AFC South crown and playoff seeding. No matter who is under center for this week’s matchup it was going to be a daunting task, but having your starter in the lineup helps to make those around Duval County feel a little better about the situation.
