So, what can NFL fans expect on Thursday night? Well, technically, there is football. Just not the football you would expect. Tonight, football fans can choose between the NFL’s Pro Bowl Skills Challenge or the college football All-Star Shrine Bowl game.
The skill challenges on Thursday, Jan. 30, will be broadcast on ESPN, ABC, and Disney XD at 7 p.m. ET. The Skills Competition will feature the NFL’s top players who will have the opportunity to showcase their on and off-field skills.
The 2025 Pro Bowl Games will continue with the revised format introduced in recent years, which replaces the traditional tackle game with a flag football game. This change emphasizes player safety while maintaining a fun and competitive atmosphere. The event will also feature skill challenges and other activities throughout the week, showcasing the players’ talents in a more relaxed setting.
The 100th annual East-West Shrine Bowl begins at 8 p.m. ET on Thursday, Jan. 30, 2025, at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, TX. The game will be nationally televised on NFL Network.
Legendary NFL playmakers have participated in the Shrine Bowl throughout the years. Most recently, 2023 first-round pick Zay Flowers attended the event; Isiah Pacheco and Brock Purdy highlighted the 2022 game.

This is Philadelphia’s third Super Bowl appearance in the last eight seasons. The Eagles defeated the New England Patriots in Super Bowl LII and lost to the Chiefs two seasons ago in Super Bowl LVII.
