Will the streak continue involving Taylor Swift and the Kansas City Chiefs?
The defending Super Bowl champs have welcomed the Country/Pop diva and multiple Grammy winner as a new member of the “Chiefs Kingdom,” all thanks to their All-Pro tight end Travis Kelce. Swift is now officially a regular at Chiefs games.
Does that mean Swift is a lock to appear at Empower Field on Sunday against the Denver Broncos?
Decision Made Involving Taylor Swift and Week 8 Appearance
It appears the Broncos and Chiefs game will have a ratings impact — with “Swifties” likely not tuning in.
The reason? Per TMZ on Saturday morning, Swift is not scheduled to be in attendance to watch her new beau and the Chiefs in action.

The league has seen an increase in ratings for Chief games due to Swift being in the suites while decked in KC colors. She’s been captured on camera sitting alongside Kelce’s mom, Donna, his father, Ed, and QB Patrick Mahomes’ wife, Brittany — who also helped invent a new secret handshake caught on camera in the 31-17 win over the Los Angeles Chargers.
Reason Behind Swift’s No-Show in Denver
Further noted by TMZ, Swift is aiming to get back on tour.
Her widely popular “Eras” tour is expected to pick back up again. Her next show is set for Nov. 9, and this time, she’s taking the tour outside of the United States by performing in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Swift took a three-month break from touring with the last leg of the U.S. tour at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood. But it was the Kansas City show where Kelce tried to make his first attempt to swoop up Swift, which he revealed on his New Heights podcast alongside Philadelphia Eagles center and brother Jason Kelce.
In all likelihood, rehearsals and tour meetings will be on deck for the musician. It’s still not determined if Swift will miss any more Chief games.
Kelce, meanwhile, produced his best game of the 2023 season against the Chargers with Swift watching, snatching a season-high 12 receptions for 179 yards and one touchdown.
