Earlier in the week, the question was whether Patrick Mahomes was going to start Saturday’s game against the Houston Texans. That was settled. The remaining question is whether Taylor Swift will be in attendance at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium to watch her boyfriend Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs on Saturday afternoon.

Swift’s hugely successful “Eras Tour” wrapped after a long 149-show run. The question is whether she will be in Kansas City on Saturday to sit with the Kelce family in their private suite at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium.
The answer is maybe. The singer has been mum on her plans to attend Saturday’s game. However, the pop star traditionally attends Chiefs’ home games, so there is no reason to expect she won’t be in the suite for Saturday’s matchup.
The only home game she missed this season was against the Dec. 8 game against the Los Angeles Chargers. She missed the game due to her final performance of The Eras Tour, in Vancouver.
Swift does not routinely attend road games due to security concerns. When Swift attends a game her security team needs to work hand in hand with stadium personnel to ensure her safety. This involves work which needs to be done before the game and then on game day.

Her security team knows the crew in Kansas City very well and they have secured Swift on many occasions. Road games present a bigger challenge and her security team does not have the rapport with the other venues like they do at GEHA.
There is further speculation that in the event Swift does go to the game Saturday, she might be joined by Indiana Fever guard and Time Magazine’s 2024 Athlete of the Year, Caitlin Clark. Swift extended an invitation to a Chiefs’ home to Clark who has joined Kelce’s circle of friendship. Clark has recently followed Swift’s manager on social media and she has been in communication with the pop diva.
Saturday’s game is the final home regular season game for the Chiefs.
Why Hasn’t Swift Attended Any Road Games This Season?
There are certain road games that Swift has missed due to her tour. However, even when her schedule has been open, she has opted to cheer on Kelce from afar when the Chiefs are playing on the road.
Adam Lefkoe, a broadcaster who is close with Jason Kelce and the Kelce family as a whole, shared a possible explanation. During an appearance on “Up & Adams,” Lefkoe mentioned that Swift and the Kelce family had a rough away-game experience at Highmark Stadium when the Chiefs faced the Buffalo Bills in the Divisional Round of last year’s NFL playoffs.
“I have heard from people very close [to the Kelces] that it was not a great experience in Buffalo. It was not — for all parties involved, and I’m talking about the most famous of all the parties,” Lefkoe said. “I think that it kind of shocked the Kelce family and everyone related to the Kelce family the reception they got.”

Lefkoe said Swift and the Kelces were expecting “an amazing game with good energy,” but instead, “they experienced Bills Mafia in full form” and dealt with “complete ruthlessness.”
“I think they left and went, ‘I don’t know if I want to experience that again,’” Lefkoe said.
Based on that quote, it sounds like this experience may have soured Swift on road games.
The Chiefs defeated the Bills 27-24 in that game and Travis had a terrific performance, catching five passes for 75 yards and two touchdowns. You might recall that this was the game when Jason was shirtless and interacting with fans.
Well, Lefkoe described this as Kelce getting the last laugh after hours of being cursed out and treated poorly by Buffalo fans.
Lefkoe pointed out that the Bills fans were doing “their job” by making the opposing fans uncomfortable but hinted that they may have crossed the line.
“You don’t have to be mean or hurt people,” Lefkoe said. “Don’t do that.”
After Kansas City advanced past Buffalo, Swift attended the AFC Championship Game in Baltimore and watched the Chiefs punch their ticket to the Super Bowl. She was also in attendance for Super Bowl LVIII in Las Vegas when Kansas City defeated the San Francisco 49ers. But ever since, she has only attended the Chiefs’ home games at Arrowhead Stadium.
It’s worth noting that security concerns could also be to blame. Page Six reported that security issues make it difficult for the pop superstar to attend road games.
Swift has a security team that needs to work with the stadium personnel in advance of each game to ensure her safety. While her security team knows the crew at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium very well and has secured that location numerous times, road games present new challenges.
“If she is going to a place that isn’t Arrowhead, there are security concerns,” a source told Page Six. “She has worked with Arrowhead so many times, they feel at ease and comfortable. Going to all kinds of different stadiums, you need to send a team in advance.”
