What’s the Verdict on Taylor Swift’s Appearance in Denver?

Swift has been selective about which games she attends, primarily sticking to Arrowhead Stadium for her in-person support. Even when her “The Eras Tour” didn’t clash with game schedules, Swift skipped road games in cities like Los Angeles, Buffalo, and Pittsburgh. Given this trend, her presence in Denver seems unlikely, especially since the Chiefs have already secured the No. 1 seed in the AFC playoffs.

Another reason the pop star may not attend the Chiefs’ latest game is that head coach Andy Reid has ruled out many players, including her boyfriend, Kelce, and quarterback Patrick Mahomes.

Logistically, it makes sense for Swift to save her next public NFL appearance for a high-stakes playoff game. The Chiefs’ home-field advantage guarantees at least one postseason game at Arrowhead, thus giving the global star that perfect opportunity for her return to the spotlight alongside Kelce.

Why Denver May Not Be on Swift’s Calendar

Sunday’s matchup in Denver lacks the weight of earlier games where Swift’s appearance as the Chiefs’ lady luck was a must. With Kansas City locking in the AFC’s top seed, the outcome of this game won’t change their playoff positioning.

Historically, Swift has favored moments that align with significant milestones or high-energy home crowds. Denver’s final game of the season doesn’t seem to fit that narrative, at least not from K.C.’s perspective.

While Kansas City has nothing to play for, Denver needs a win to get into the NFL playoffs as the No. 7 seed. According to PFN’s NFL Playoff Predictor, they have an 81.8% chance of finishing the week as the final Wild Card recipient.

Why Hasn’t Swift Attended Any Road Games This Season?

Swift’s absence from road games this season can be attributed to her incredibly packed schedule, primarily due to her “The Eras Tour,” which has taken up much of her time.

Broadcaster Adam Lefkoe, who shares close ties with Jason Kelce and the Kelce family, offered insight into this trend during an appearance on The “Up & Adams” show. According to Lefkoe, an unpleasant experience during last year’s playoff game at Highmark Stadium in Orchard Park, N.Y., might explain Swift’s hesitation.

“I have heard from people very close [to the Kelces] that it was not a great experience in Buffalo,” Lefkoe revealed. “It was not — for all parties involved, and I’m talking about the most famous of all the parties. I think that it kind of shocked the Kelce family and everyone related to the Kelce family the reception they got.”

This rough reception reportedly left a lasting impression, and while fans may hold out hope for a surprise road appearance, Swift seems to have solid reasons for limiting her public support to Arrowhead Stadium, at least for now.
