Not only is he eligible for the 2024 NFL Draft, but he’s also hinted that he intends to enter once South Dakota State’s playoff run is complete.

In late November, the East-West Shrine Bowl announced that Davis had accepted his invitation. To join the Shrine Bowl roster and play at the prospect showcase in Frisco, Texas, a player must be in the draft pool.

Isaiah Davis’ 2024 NFL Draft Scouting Report

Davis has been one of the most productive runners at the FCS level since he joined the Jackrabbits as a true freshman. In his first season, he rushed for 816 yards and 10 touchdowns in just 10 games, averaging an incredible 8.5 yards per carry.

Davis’ best work, however, came across the 2022 and 2023 campaigns. Over that stretch, he rushed for 2,942 yards and 32 touchdowns on 469 carries, averaging well over six yards per attempt. He also caught 43 passes for 369 yards and a TD.

At 6’1″ and 220 pounds, Davis is a true volume back who leverages his explosiveness, mass, and physicality into his forward-pressing style. While he’s more of a north-south back, he’s a tenacious finisher who can be an engine for an offense on early downs.

With his production and his tone-setting physicality, it’s possible that Davis could be a mid-to-late-round pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, especially if he uses his Shrine Bowl showing to his advantage.

Davis’ official 2024 NFL Draft scouting report will be coming soon at Pro Football Network.
