    What Is Romeo Doubs’ Injury?

Doubs was enjoying one of his best performances of the regular season against the 49ers in Week 12. Then he failed to come down with a touchdown reception in traffic, landed on his back, and appeared to hit his head on the turf.

The third-year wide receiver entered the medical tent on Green Bay’s sideline and ultimately walked to the team’s locker room. Doubs suffered a concussion on the play and missed the remainder of the game.

Doubs entered concussion protocol following the injury and was forced to miss Green Bay’s matchup against the Miami Dolphins in Week 13. While the Packers were able to defeat the Dolphins without Doubs, they could surely use him against the Lions on Thursday night.

Despite missing multiple games, Doubs is second on the Packers in receiving yards (483) and third in receptions (34). Doubs also leads the Packers with 25 receptions for a first down this season.

Is Doubs Playing in Week 14?

Doubs will not play in Week 14 as he continues to recover from the concussion that he suffered against the 49ers two weeks ago.

Packers head coach Matt LaFleur offered an update on Doubs’ recovery timeline earlier in the week ahead of Green Bay’s divisional matchup in Detroit.

According to Matt Schneidman of The Athletic, LaFleur stated that Doubs has reached the point in concussion protocol where he is able to practice, although he clearly isn’t far along enough to play in Week 14.

After missing this week’s game due to a concussion, Doubs will have missed three games for the Packers this season. He missed Green Bay’s victory over the Los Angeles Rams in Week 5 due to a one-game suspension for “conduct detrimental to the team.”

    Doubs’ Fantasy Outlook

Doubs hasn’t offered much fantasy value this season, mostly due to his inconsistent performances for the Packers. Heading into Week 14, Doubs is 60th among all wide receivers in fantasy points in 2024.

The Packers spread the ball out to several different pass catchers, as Jayden Reed continues to be the only wide receiver on Green Bay’s roster that is reliable in fantasy. Reed is currently fifth among all wide receivers in fantasy points this season.

Doubs’ best fantasy performance was in Week 6 against the Arizona Cardinals. Doubs had 16.9 fantasy points, as he hauled in three receptions for 49 yards and two touchdowns.

Ironically, Doubs’ best fantasy performance came the week after his one-game suspension. Therefore, Doubs could be in for a bounce-back performance once he returns from his concussion.
