After a successful four-year run that included three playoff appearances and a Super Bowl win, Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford could be on the move.
Stafford’s destination is unknown, but conflicting reports have suggested that Las Vegas Raiders minority owner Tom Brady is recruiting him to the club.

Is Tom Brady Recruiting Matthew Stafford to Las Vegas Raiders?
It is unclear exactly what level of involvement Brady is taking in Stafford’s recruitment to the Raiders.
One report from Jordan Schultz stated the two went on a ski trip together in Montana, where Brady was actively recruiting Stafford.
Sources: #Raiders minority owner Tom Brady recently hosted #Rams QB Matthew Stafford at his home in Montana, where they spent time together and went skiing. Brady has been actively trying to convince Stafford to join the Raiders, and discussions are ongoing.

Then, less than an hour later, Ian Rapoport poured cold water on that report, saying that the two happened to run into each other at the ski resort, and that there was no hosting or recruiting involved.

There has been some intrigue as to how involved Brady is in the running of the Raiders. Raiders head coach Pete Carroll gave some insight on the level of involvement from Brady, confirming that Brady has, at the very least, been on call for Carroll and Raiders general manager John Spytek.
Earlier this year, however, NFL insider Dianna Russini went even deeper, saying that “Brady is running everything in Vegas,” as revealed on the “Ryen Russillo Podcast.”
Stafford leaving the Rams would be a relative surprise for a couple reasons. For starters, Rams head coach Sean McVay, who has been in retirement rumors the past couple years, is returning as the Rams coach.
The Rams are a team that seems to be on the upswing. They gave the Eagles their toughest test in the playoffs, as the 28-22 loss to the Eagles was the Eagles only one-score victory in the playoffs. The Rams were also driving at the end of the game with a chance to take the lead in the game’s final minute.
So, it appeared as though the Rams would run it back with Stafford in 2025, with a Rams team that has talent at the skill positions in Puka Nacua and Kyren Williams, and a ton of young talent on the defensive side as well.
Either way, the Raiders look to be one of the teams gunning for Stafford this offseason in at least some capacity. Spytek, the Raiders general manager, stated that the team will take “any avenue” as they look for a franchise quarterback.
If not Stafford via trade, another option for the Raiders would be via the draft, as PFSN’s most recent mock draft has the Raiders selecting Colorado’s Shedeur Sanders with pick No. 6 in the 2025 NFL Draft.
Unfortunately, this Raiders team has a ton of holes, so they have a lot to fix this offseason, but the quarterback position is a good place to start.
