If the Miami Dolphins can return RB Raheem Mostert from injury for their Wild Card game against the Chiefs, it would be a huge boost. The running game could be heavily relied upon with terrible weather conditions already hitting Kansas City.
Mostert has missed the last two games, but HC Mike McDaniel is hopeful of his return for the postseason.
Is Raheem Mostert Playing Tonight?
Update 01/13/2024: Raheem Mostert is officially active and playing tonight against the Chiefs.
Mostert is officially listed as questionable for Saturday night’s game in Kansas City. After missing the last two games, there has been some optimism that Mostert could play in the Wild Card round.
On Dec. 31, PFN’s Dolphins reporter Adam Beasley wrote that Mostert “has been dealing with a minor knee injury for some time, but he also hurt his ankle against the Dallas Cowboys.” It caused Mostert to miss the last two games of the regular season against the Ravens and the Bills.
The Miami running back left the game against the Cowboys after suffering an ankle injury. He immediately went down clutching his ankle but was able to walk to the sideline on his own after attendance from the medical team.
Despite missing those games, Mostert has been limited in practice during the week, and despite him still being listed as questionable, there is some positivity from McDaniel that he could be ready.
In a press conference on Thursday, McDaniel was cautiously optimistic about Mostert’s availability. “Short weeks, you have to take it up to the end of the week clock. You want to press them enough, but not too much. You want to be able to forecast what’s going to happen in the game as much as possible,” McDaniel said
“You need to know the player has a reasonable chance to play the entire game. We haven’t had any setbacks with Raheem Mostert or Jaylen Waddle, so I am optimistic about both.”

In 15 regular-season games, Mostert has 1,012 rushing yards and 18 touchdowns. The 18 rushing touchdowns are a franchise record. He also leads the team in rushing yards, with De’Von Achane next on the list with 800 yards in 11 games.
If Mostert is out, then Jeff Wilson will need to step up.
The injuries have mounted up for Miami. Xavien Howard is officially out vs. the Chiefs, while DeShon Elliott, Jevon Holland, Jaylen Waddle, and Mostert are all designated as questionable.
