What’s the Latest on Jimmy Garoppolo?

The quarterback took a hit in Week 3 against the Steelers and was able to finish the game. He was examined for a possible concussion and was then added to the concussion protocol.

Garoppolo did not play in last week’s 24-17 loss against the Chargers. Rookie Aidan O’Connell stepped in over Brian Hoyer. He completed 24 of 39 pass attempts for 238 yards and one interception.

After missing practice on Wednesday, Garappolo was able to get in limited sessions on both Thursday and Friday. Last Friday, he was cleared from concussion protocol and is set to take the field Monday night against the Packers.

So far this season, Garoppolo has completed 68.1% of his passes for 709 yards, five touchdowns, and six interceptions. On Friday, he said he is “feeling good” heading into the matchup with Green Bay.

“I think we’re in a good spot,” Garoppolo said. “The guys had a good practice out there; we had a good rhythm, good tempo to us. It’s just about doing the little things right now. That’s what we’re working on.”

The 1-3 Raiders are running short on time to turn the season around. Garoppolo has had a rough start to the season, as he threw six interceptions in his first three games. When asked if the team would be able to turn things around and put up more points, Garoppolo said, “It’s going to happen.”
