Is CeeDee Lamb playing today vs. the Saints? Fantasy injury update for Cowboys vs. Saints Week 13 Thursday Night Football

Coming off a concussion, is CeeDee Lamb playing in Week 13 when the Dallas Cowboys face the New Orleans Saints?

Will Dallas Cowboys WR CeeDee Lamb be returning to the field and playing against the New Orleans Saints? After missing last week with a concussion suffered against the Chiefs, what is the latest on Lamb’s status for Week 13 fantasy football lineups?

Update 12/02/21: Dallas Cowboys WR CeeDee Lamb is officially active for their game against the New Orleans Saints.

Is CeeDee Lamb playing against the Saints?

Given that Lamb was close to playing in Week 12 against the Las Vegas Raiders, it always seemed like he would be active in Week 13. As early as Monday, he was back as a full participant at practice. When he spoke to the media, Lamb made it clear that he would most likely be suiting up on Thursday.

After Lamb was a full participant at practice all three days, he is set to be active today when the Cowboys face the Saints. With Amari Cooper also expected to be active, the Cowboys will be back at full strength for the first time since Week 10.

Lamb has been playing well in 2021

For the most part this season, Lamb has been performing well. He ranks 20th in the league in receiving yards with 740. He is also tied for 13th in the league in touchdowns with 6. Lamb has been averaging 5 receptions and 74 yards per game. He’s even contributed 5 rush attempts for 30 yards.

Lamb has gone over 60 yards receiving in seven of his 10 games this season. However, in two of his last three, he managed fewer than 25 yards. However, the reason for that in Week 11 was that Lamb left the game early with a concussion.

What should fantasy managers do in Week 13?

Having a player who is playing on Thursday Night Football is always tough for fantasy managers. It’s even more difficult when there is an injury question mark. However, for Lamb’s fantasy managers, that injury concern should be somewhat reduced. When a player suffers a concussion, he is either cleared or he is not. It’s not like a hamstring strain where there can be degrees of injury that can be aggravated.

Fantasy managers should be encouraged that Lamb has cleared the concussion protocol and reportedly did so as early as last Thursday after the game. Therefore, he should have no limitations in Week 13. The potential matchup with Marshon Lattimore is intriguing. Lattimore has been good in coverage for the most part but susceptible to giving up the big play. If Lattimore shadows lamb, he could be a boom-or-bust fantasy option this week.
