How Many Kids Does Jerry Jones Have? A Look at the Cowboys Owner’s Family Tree

    Published on

Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones is the father of several children. Who are they, and what do they do today?

In 2022, Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones was sued — Alexandra Davis alleged she was his daughter. The lawsuit was later dropped when Davis instead sought testing to prove paternity and establish Jones as her legal parent.

Alexandra Davis claims that the billionaire owner of the Cowboys paid her mother, Cynthia Davis, $375,000 to stay quiet about their relationship. Davis also filed a defamation lawsuit against Jones and two other men, saying they “initiated a deliberate plan” to portray the billionaire’s “own daughter … as an ‘extortionist’ and a ‘shakedown artist’ whose motivation was money and greed.”

The news opened questions into Jones’ family tree. How many kids does Jones have in total, and what have they gone on to do?

    Jerry Jones’ Family

Jones was born in Los Angeles, California, to John “Pat” and Armenita Jones. The family moved back to North Little Rock, Arkansas, in 1945 where he grew up.

Jerry’s wife, Eugenia, was born in 1944 and is 70 years old. She and Jerry married in 1963. Eugenia attended the University of Arkansas and is a former Miss Arkansas.

Eugenia is a member of the Texas Cultural Trust Board and is on the board of directors of AT&T’s Center for the Performing Arts. She is also a co-chairperson of the Meadows School of the Arts.

“Gene” Jones, who’s been referred to as the “Mother of the Dallas Cowboys,” is often seen around Dallas at various events, but has remained fairly private when it comes to her personal life.

Jerry Jones was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2017 and chose his wife to be his presenter at the event.

The Cowboys owner, president, and general manager announced the decision in a press release that stated his wife is the “backbone of our family… Her influence guides and inspires all of us. She is my closest advisor, my best friend, and it is only fitting that she present me.”

Jones has two sons. Stephen, the oldest, was born June 21, 1964. Stephen graduated from the University of Arkansas with a degree in chemical engineering in 1988. He is now the Cowboys’ chief functional executive vice director of player personnel and has four kids of his own.

Charlotte Jones is the middle child and was born on July 26, 1966. Today, she serves as the Cowboys’ administrative vice president and the chief brand officer and has two children.

She oversees all business operations, strategies, and applications surrounding the team’s brand as it is presented to fans worldwide.

On September 27, 1969, Jerry Jr. was born. He serves as the Cowboys’ chief sales and marketing officer. He lives in Florida and also has two kids.

Jones Jr. was instrumental in the design and planning of AT&T Stadium as well as the team’s training complex, The Star, which opened in Frisco in 2016.

On February 25, 1989, Jerry Jones purchased the Cowboys from H. R. “Bum” Bright for $140 million. In the 30 years of ownership, his team has won three Super Bowls, all coming in the 1990s.

The owner is worth $8.5 billion and is 81 years old.
