How Many Kids Does Deion Sanders Have? Exploring NFL Hall-of-Famer’s Family Tree

Deion Sanders is the proud father of multiple kids outside of being "Coach Prime." Who are his children?

By now, all of the football world knows about the quarterback with the famous athletic genes in Boulder, Colorado: Shedeur Sanders, the son of NFL Hall of Famer and Colorado Buffaloes head coach Deion “Coach Prime” Sanders.

Shedeur has risen high on draft boards ahead of the upcoming college football season, with some analysts believing the Buffaloes QB could crack the first round of the 2025 draft. But he isn’t Deion’s only child who’ll be on the Folsom Field grass when the Buffaloes take on North Dakota State to start the 2024 season.

How many kids does the NFL legend and fast-rising college coach have? Let’s take a closer look.

Everything to Know About Deion Sanders’ Children

The iconic Hall of Fame cornerback and two-time Super Bowl champion is the proud father of five children: Deiondra, Deion Jr., Shilo, Shedeur, and Shelomi Sanders.

The oldest of the five is his daughter, Deiondra. She was born in 1992 with Sanders’ first wife, Carolyn Chambers, and during a time in which Sanders had established himself as a household name in Atlanta with both the Falcons and Braves.

Deion Jr. is the second child from Sanders’ marriage to Chambers and is three years younger than Deiondra.

Shilo came along during Sanders’ second marriage to Pilar Sanders, as he was born in 1995. Shedeur and Shilo are also the biological sons of Pilar.

All five have had their list of athletic accomplishments and their own involvement with Colorado.

Athletic Accomplishments and Career Endeavors of Sanders’ Kids

Deiondra became the first collegiate athlete of the five Sanders children. She went on to compete in track and field for Florida A&M University.

Now, she works as a personal trainer and has a managerial background. Deiondra manages Sc3 Sports Management, owns a hairline called “Love Me Extensions,” and is a public relations expert by trade. She forges relationships between Fortune 500 companies.

She also happens to be engaged to another famed entertainer: R&B superstar Jacquees. The couple even shares an infant son together named Snow, born on Aug. 9. The singer behind the hits “B.E.D.,” “You,” and “Put in Work” featuring Chris Brown named their son after his grandmother, who’s surname was Snow.

Growing up as the daughter of a professional athlete was “bittersweet,” Deiondra revealed in an interview on The Reflections Show. “The bitter part is because I was always judged a lot at school,” she shared. “I didn’t have, like, as many friends. I was always traveling with my parents.”

Deiondra continued, “But it was great because, I mean, I probably grew up how every kid would want to, so that was the great part, the sweet part. It was traveling all the time, meeting celebrities, we had chefs.”

Deion Jr. became the first college football athlete in the family as he went on to play for SMU before officially retiring from the game in 2015 to pursue other interests, such as social media.

Deion Jr. is known for serving as his dad’s social media manager at JSU and continues his social media presence in Boulder. Deion Jr. is also a YouTube personality running his channel “Well Off Media.”

Shilo and Shedeur, meanwhile, are tag-teaming and skyrocketing to their own stardom on their way to help elevate their dad’s Buffaloes on the football field. Both already earned victories over then-No. 17 ranked TCU and Nebraska in front of a soldout Folsom Field crowd in Boulder that placed the college football world in a frenzy with their performance.

“You got to make something for yourself and that’s my main thing every day at the end of the day,” Shedeur explained. “I know when I turn 21 I’m on my own, so it doesn’t matter what pops did, it matters about me and what I’ve done in this world and what I did with my lifetime. Because I got the opportunity to do a lot of things.”

Their first season in Boulder, however, ended with a 4-8 season. Now, both are walking into higher expectations ahead of “Coach Prime’s” second CU season.

Shelomi is the youngest of the bunch. The 20-year-old is another Sanders on the CU campus as a women’s college basketball player. Although like her famous father, she had a brief stint at Jackson State.

From an academic standpoint, she was in the National Honors Society at Trinity Christian School in Jacksonville, Florida, and her impact on sports and the world, in general, has only just begun.
