How Can Sunday’s Loss Propel the Dallas Cowboys to Victory Against the Miami Dolphins?

The Dallas Cowboys are coming off one of their worst games this season — a deflating loss to the Buffalo Bills.

With their next challenge being the Miami Dolphins on Sunday, how can the Cowboys prove they’re an elite playoff contender?

This week on the PFN Miami Dolphins Podcast, Adam Beasley and Matt Infante have Jess Nevarez on as a guest to give a game preview for Sunday’s game.

Cowboys’ Struggles To Win on the Road

The Cowboys are 3-4 on the road this season and have amassed a large gap in the points scored in both situations.

At home, the Cowboys have the longest active home win streak with 15 straight. They’re also averaging around 40 points per game in “Jerry World.”

Meanwhile, on the road, Dallas averages around 21 points. All four losses this season have been in away games, and with the next two of three games on the road for the Cowboys, the Dolphins are the perfect contenders to build back their confidence.

    How Can the Cowboys Win?

The Cowboys need to overcome their self-inflicted wounds — especially in the form of penalties. They currently lead the NFL in total penalties, which has been an issue in all their losses this season.

The run defense has also been a recurring issue for the team, posing a solid run threat. Although there is no timeline for DT Johnathan Hankins’ return, DLs Mazi Smith and Carl Davis Jr. will likely have to step in once again.

With 12 missed tackles against the Bills, all eyes will be on how well the Cowboys’ defense completes tackles in Sunday’s game against the Dolphins.

As for the offense, QB Dak Prescott has played lights out in the second half of the season. But after only having 134 passing yards in this game, how can the offense find its spark again? Will the team be able to establish the run and pick up where they left off before the Miami game?

We will discuss key factors that should lead to a win for the Cowboys or Dolphins.
