How Do I Watch the Pac-12 Network?

    Published on

How can you find and watch the Pac-12 Network? What streaming services offer the network?

Trying to watch the Washington State-UCLA or Colorado-Arizona State game this weekend but can’t find it on your TV guide? Those games are still being broadcast, but they are located on the Pac-12 Network instead of any typical television broadcast.

How Do I Watch These Games on Pac-12 Network?

Most TV providers offer options to purchase the Pac-12 Network as part of your plan. The full list of TV providers who offer the Pac-12 Network can be found here.

If you don’t have a TV provider and rely on streaming services to get your fill of college football, it can be a bit trickier. YouTube TV and Hulu’s live TV streaming services do not carry the Pac-12 Network.

However, you can find it on the FuboTV or Sling streaming services. You can also log in through your cable television provider, as long as they are one of those found on the list above, on Pac-12.com.

    What Is the Pac-12 Network?

The Pac-12’s inability to close a television partner, unlike the rest of the Power 5 conferences, means that they had to start a network with little availability. In order to sustain the network, each team in the Pac-12 is required to make a minimum number of appearances on the network depending on the number of their home non-conference games.

For example, USC has three non-conference games at home this year. Thus, they are required to have three games broadcasted on the Pac-12 Network.

This was a significant source of tension for the Pac-12, and it’s certainly a factor in the Pac-12 splintering and heading to other conferences. All but two of the conference’s members are headed to new conferences as the league splintered this offseason. The ACC, Big Ten, and Big 12 have already secured lucrative broadcast rights deals, something significantly more appealing than the meager options on the Pac-12 Network for these teams.

While the Pac-12 Network puts these games on in an effort to bring fans to the game, most viewers will often opt to put a game on they can access more easily. Given the new popularity of the Colorado program, for example, the network is seemingly limiting views rather than expanding them.

For today’s games, the Pac-12 Network is carrying three games. The 13th-ranked Washington State Cougars travel to take on the UCLA Bruins on the Pac-12 Network at 3:30 p.m. EDT. Later on, the Colorado Buffaloes take on the Arizona State Sun Devils at 6:30 p.m. EDT, and the No. 15 Oregon State Beavers face the California Golden Bears at 10:00 p.m. EDT.
