The home of Miami Dolphins WR Tyreek Hill caught fire Wednesday while he was at practice. Here's the latest on the situation.

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. — Tyreek Hill left Miami Dolphins practice Wednesday to tend to a far more serious issue:

His Broward County home caught fire while he was at team HQ. A Dolphins spokesperson told reporters that Hill’s family had evacuated the home and was safe.

Helicopter camera crews captured Hill arriving at his home, his left foot in a walking boot due to an ankle injury suffered a few weeks, exactly at 3 p.m. ET.

He was greeted by his wife, Keeta Vaccaro, and his mother, Anesha Sanchez, when he arrived. Young children were also on the property, which is located some 15 miles northwest of here.

Hill was seen pacing while awaiting an update from authorities.

The fire has since been put out, per WSVN.

Hill’s agent, Drew Rosenhaus, told reporters that fire was contained to a small part of the house. The cause of the blaze remains under investigation.

Hill bought the $7 million palatial home shortly after his trade to the Dolphins in March 2022, which coincided with Hill signing a four-year, $120 million contract extension.

Hill enters Week 18 as the NFL leader in receiving yards (1,717) and ranks second in receiving touchdowns with 12.

“I think that that would be difficult for not just my teammates but anyone in general to be going through what Tyreek is going through right now,” Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa said Wednesday. “I think the main thing is his family is safe, his loved ones are good, he’s good as well.

“It’s a little cliche to say, but … some of those things can be replaceable. I’m just glad that a lot of his family members are safe.”
