‘He’s So Explosive’ – Joel Klatt Makes Eye-Catching Remarks About NFL-Bound Jalen Milroe

NFL-bound Jalen Milroe got a big shoutout from analyst Joel Klatt. The Alabama QB is expected to be a mid-round pick.

Alabama quarterback Jalen Milroe is one of the dark horses in this year’s NFL Draft class. His fourth and final season at Alabama was a bit regressive and overshadowed his overall college career.

But he is expected to be a top-five quarterback prospect heading into the 2025 NFL Draft. One of Milroe’s most impressive skills is his ability to be a dual-threat quarterback, something that is quite necessary in the NFL. Fox Sports’ Joel Klatt believes Milroe could be massive for any team that tries to place a bet on him.

Jalen Milroe Draws Big Support From Joel Klatt

In the 2024 season, Milroe led Alabama to a 9-4 record with new head coach Kalen DeBoer. Even though they made the ReliaQuest Bowl, their campaign was still viewed as a failure due to the standards that are already set at Alabama.

Back in 2023, Milroe managed to win the SEC title and punch a College Football Playoff ticket with a 12-1 record. Alabama came out as one of the most successful programs for 17 seasons straight.

These ups and downs seem to have affected Milroe’s draft stock as well. But Klatt is optimistic about the quarterback. He ranks the 22-year-old passer at No. 4 in his list.

“My No. 4 quarterback in this year’s draft is a guy that’s just so incredible as an athlete that you just have to take a look. He’s so explosive, and he’s immediately the most dangerous player on the field as soon as he steps foot on the field, and that’s Jalen Milroe from Alabama,” Klatt said this week.

“Milroe is a guy that’s going to be polarizing … because people are going to get mad if you call him just a running quarterback. … Jalen did a lot of great things at Alabama, in particular in 2023. His growth in that season was fantastic. Last year, he regressed a little bit,” he added.

Looking at the current scenario, Jalen Milroe could be a mid-round pick. If early, he could get selected in the third round or later. Teams that are in need of bolstering their quarterback depth chart can pounce on Milroe. His insane physique, arm strength, and ability to perform in clutch moments will prove vital in the NFL.
