Aaron Rodgers’ future with the New York Jets is uncertain, and while no signal has been given just yet, he’s being linked to other teams in hypothetical moves, including the Tennessee Titans.
The Titans ended the 2024 season 27th in scoring offense and 26th in yards gained. However, is an aging and regressing Rodgers the solution to their problems? Hall-of-Fame quarterback Warren Moon evaluated that possibility for Tennessee.
Warren Moon Gives Clear Verdict on Aaron Rodgers’ Potential Move to the Tennessee Titans
Rodgers was signed by the Jets in 2023, and fans immediately grew optimistic that he’d change their fortunes for the better. However, he has been a shadow of his Hall of Fame-worthy past, and after New York fired its head coach and general manager during the regular season, the four-time MVP’s future in East Rutherford is up in the air.
ESPN’s Ben Solak recently predicted that Rodgers could now sign with the Titans and suggested that head coach Brian Callahan’s experience with star quarterbacks like Peyton Manning and Joe Burrow would be one of the driving factors behind the potential move.
“I like Rodgers to the Titans,” Solak wrote. “Coach Brian Callahan, who cut his teeth with Peyton Manning before coaching Joe Burrow, seems like the sort of guy to fall for Rodgers’ mental ability, even if the physical ability no longer matches it. Rodgers could be the 1A to Will Levis’ 1B entering camp as Tennessee looks to trade the top overall selection.”
Conversely, Moon doesn’t think it would be a good move for the Titans. Speaking during an appearance on “Up & Adams,” the former Offensive Player of the Year said Rogers would suit a veteran football team better than Tennessee’s rebuild.
“I don’t know if he’s the move for this young football team you know to bring, to bring in Aaron at this point. I think Aaron will be better with a more veteran football team. So I don’t think Tennessee is necessarily the place for him,” Moon said

While Rodgers ranked higher than both of the Titans’ quarterbacks, Will Levis and Mason Rudolph, in the PFN’s QB+ metric for the 2024 season, his aging body is a concern for many.
Meanwhile, Tennessee’s offensive struggles are also a big concern, and while they do hold the No. 1 Pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, bringing in Rodgers’ experience to help keep the offense above water has some merit.
The 41-year-old threw for 3,897 yards with a 63.6% completion percentage last season and threw 28 touchdowns to 11 interceptions. He’d be an upgrade, even if he doesn’t entirely align with the team’s current trajectory.
